Obviously they won't give a USB 3.0 in base iPhone. That's a Pro feature. Maybe base iPhone 18 will have it

35W? What year is it? They intentionally upgrade slowly and then defend themselves by citing factors like safety. Why move to 35W now? What changes have they made?

USB 2.0 isn't really much of a surprise to me considering the fact plenty of Android mid-rangers use a USB 2.0 port as well. It's even in some flagship phones, although that's more of a rarity.
Am I defending Apple here? Nah. I still think they probably should've sprung for at least 3.0. At the very least the Pros will get Thunderbolt.
And there's no MFi, so can people can stop complaining about that now? Please?

1.5 / 1.6m should be the Standard length of cables included in the box. After using it, I cannot go back to 1m only.
This is just me still relying on conventional Wired charging, never consider yet inefficient Wireless charging.

They restrict the charging speed and data rate to that of USB 2.0 yet they call it "flagship phone".
The crap apple forces their fans to eat is amazing..
Even a midrange phone above 400usd wouldn't give such nonsense and still call itself a midrange phone.
Can't wait for the influencers to tell us how apple made USB 2.0 better. 😂
