ulrich, 19 Aug 2023it is quite a tsunami of phones that motorola is releasing and there is hardly any difference ... moreAgreed. No need for so many models. Put the effort into a smaller, higher quality batch of well-manufactured models that hold up good over time.
Caeruleum7125, 19 Aug 2023Stupid question, but why did Motorola use a Snapdragon chip in the G53? They've been usin... moreYeah. Then we can get ROMs.
Petri S, 20 Aug 2023So true. Wishing hoping for 2 OS upgrades on Moto G series 🙏. Lenovo has almost destroyed it... moreWith android 14 just around corner, launching a phone with android 13 and providing one OS update literally means phone is already outdated with respect software support
Anonymous, 20 Aug 2023Only if they can provide atleast two android updateSo true. Wishing hoping for 2 OS upgrades on Moto G series 🙏. Lenovo has almost destroyed it's G series here in Finland at least with its worst update policy which consumers here care very much about and 1 OS upgrade is a deal breaker for countless people. Moto Gx4 series will come with Android 13 and 1 OS upgrade will mean they will only get Android 14 and nothing more. This must change now in 2023 it just can't go on like this!?
Caeruleum7125, 19 Aug 2023Stupid question, but why did Motorola use a Snapdragon chip in the G53? They've been usin... moreSnapdragon is still No.1 but Mediatek is getting better. Mediatek Dimensity 900 on OnePlus Nord CE 2 5g sometimes stutters but Snapdragon 778g on Xiaomi 11 Lite NE never such problems. And even new midrange Mediatek chips still sometimes stutter according to many reviews I've seen. Camera performance also, photo/video quality is usually better on Snapdragon chips.
Caeruleum7125, 19 Aug 2023Stupid question, but why did Motorola use a Snapdragon chip in the G53? They've been usin... moreProbably got a a good deal from SD to take up excess 480+ chips.
Only if they can provide atleast two android update
Stupid question, but why did Motorola use a Snapdragon chip in the G53? They've been using MediaTek in almost all of their low-end to mid-range phones for quite a while now. I'm hoping the G54 uses an SD chip too.
So, there is no G83 and G63.
G14 is out.
Next are 54 and 84.
I hope it is not any rebranded dimensity 8xx.
920 would be fine.
Instead of releasing so many models, it would have been better to introduce two system updates for the Moto G
it is quite a tsunami of phones that motorola is releasing and there is hardly any difference to the majority of people who buys such phones
Anonymous, 19 Aug 2023G84 to have 50mp 1/1.56. Hope this one has too I have heard that both G54 and G84 should come with a 50mp OIS main camera. Of course I can't tell if it's true but let's hope it is 🙏
thedeev1, 19 Aug 2023Yes and that was three years ago. G8 Power was a good phone, still have it around.I also had G8 Power and it was a great experience, I was very happy using it for about 1.5 years when I dropped it and the screen broke badly. I'm using Xiaomi 11 Lite now which is really great but I could return to Motorola if they'll make better phones than the current lousy Gx3 series in this upcoming Gx4 series which seems very promising so far. G84 will come in a special viva magenta color and it looks stunning.
Meh. No thanks.
thatonekpopstan, 19 Aug 2023hopefully it runs dimensity 6080 or 6100 plusif they put an 6100 it will be a downgrade from the g53 480 plus (maybe it dosent look like that on paper, but you will notice it if you like to play games...more so if you play on emulators) an good upgrade from the g53 or the g52 would be the new 4 gen 2 soc, or the dimensity 1080 from mediatek.
G53 looked better
G84 to have 50mp 1/1.56.
Hope this one has too
Anonymous, 19 Aug 2023How do I turn it on? No button there, just volumeGood find actually. I just checked after reading your comment, and I don't see a power button either.
Anonymous, 19 Aug 2023Unfortunately Moto's software make their phones automatically a bad option. They don'... moreAgree cameras are bad as are software updates shame
