EskeRahn, 13 Aug 2023I wonder what range of pupillary-distance they support. Many binoculars do not go beyond 70mm... moreIndeed, you're correct. Only Air 2 and Air 2 pro that has the adjustment you're seeking. Ot cost more but the display technology are staying same

If any has tried the Wireless display, can anyone tell me if the latency of the wireless display (Wifi 5) is long enough to be uncomfortable to be used especially for gaming? Or if possible is there an objective measured latency when using Wireless display? And does the latency grow when using sensor-enabled Beam?

Other than that, if any of you experience severe nausea after using VR googles, does using Xreal air causes the same issue or actually it's not an issue at all because you can see the world? Or maybe it because smooth follow/ 3 DoF helps avoiding the nausea?

"Since the XREAL Air glasses are entirely powered via a Type-C port, one of the few actual tests we managed to run on them was to measure power consumption. We are happy to report that the glasses are quite efficient. With a fairly static image on screen, like browsing or working, they drew around 1.1W, and that surprisingly does not fluctuate substantially regardless of brightness setting."

This section saved my buying decision. Thanks a lot!

My only problem with my pari of XReal Airs is that they don't have a way to keep my phone charged.

I have had a pair for some time. I occasionally use them as an external display for my MacBook, and it works well with my iPad Mini 6, both of which have Type C ports.

I always been preaching average consumers on just how crazy powerful their modern smartphones are, especially those with wired video output support. I myself now spends less and less time with my Windows PC and only use it for professional work. Most of the time, I'm on my phone connected to my home external monitor or my lapdock.

You still have to use the USB-C OUT port to connect the glasses, so what's the point of that? I may as well just directly connect my phone to it. This is yet another proof that video output should be standard issue for smartphones of today. There's no point giving Intel Core i5/i7 level of computing power if you can't use the phone as a real pocket PC.

Kinda got mine with a gift card thro verizon...not sure if id buy them right out....having issues with the beam Im trying to get refund or exchange wont show screen when plugged in. Forget ar theres nothing worth using them for. Where they shine is they are a fantastic way to watch tv and play video game. Maybe wait another year imo second gen of theses are going really shine.

A small company selling 100,000 units is not a failure. Far from it. You are missing context and logical reasoning with your Nintendo comparison. Nintendo is a large corporation so 700k is small compared to their dozens of millions in sales. How about you start a tech company, build a brand and product from scratch, and try to sell even 10k units. I bet you would be ecstatic until some loser on the internet decides you are a failure because they have absolutely zero knowledge about sales and product development.

100,000 units is not considered successful, it's a failure, 20 years ago nintendo virtual boy sold 700,000 units, only released in japan and regarded as biggest failure of nintendo ever, as well as biggest flop in video games of all time.

                              100,000 is poor sales numbers

I would not be at all surprised if... morethen again, it might be just like how foldable screens evolved - nothing much changed in terms of foldable screens between fold 2 and fold 5 but people are now more accepting of the technology.
maybe AR/VR/XR are already at its peak and will no longer evolve or improve after this?

Not available outside USA, China and Japan for so many years: Nreal Light, Nreal Air, Xreal Air, Beam.
Why? Very strange policy considering Xreal is the biggest player...

Looks good but anything which comes with big battery and a very low enduurance rating becomes very quickly useless for use.
Nobody here is willing to charge this thing every 2 hours when batttery gets depleted.
