PhoneFreak45, 29 Jul 2023Sorry you're not making your case for increasing the loudness when it can already give yo... moreNot really true, as it depends on loudness it can produce which differs from brands to brand.
Also we are sensitive to mids and highs, with lows its worse, so a lot depends on the music.
Considering really hi volume, for certain time period it won't damage your hearing so you can enjoy anyway. Watching at theaters or at concerts, there is definitely more volume than in your earbuds and you hear just fine, with headphones its similar, depends on how much loudness you need to get you excited.

You hardly have a TWS in ear for more than 8 hours and within 5 minutes you would have to use them 2 more hours.

On standard wireless headphones it makes some sense as you do not constantly put them on charging cable, but TWS - you stop using them, you put them in a charging box.

Well if they can play for 8 hours and 3 minutes of charging makes an hour it could be interesting with a 24 or lets say 25 minutes of charging time.
              If this is true.
Usualy something like Apple buds or Samsung buds charge for much much longer.

Anonymous, 25 Jul 2023LDAC has been part of AOSP since android 8.0. But OEMs have to pay fees to sony to activate.... moreIs that right? Surely headphones manufacturers have to pay if they want to use LDAC decoder, the encoder software is free in android to encourage people to buy their headphones.

You mean the earbuds are NOT WORSE than previous gen? This is revolutionary! What was Sony thinking, making the new product better than the last one?! My mind is blown!

You can see the rest of their model, for example Bluetooth speaker that begin by SRS mean Sound Retrieval System and XB mean Extra Bass; then the number, for the generation and the iteration.

Glossy finish, I'll pass, sorry. I had some problem with update and battery management (Hardware is fine, it was software) with WF-1000XM4 btw.

I'm glad they are a little bit smaller/lighter, it is welcomed 👍

Hope the software management will be better considering they are 20% pricier upon launch than M4 🧐

I have the previous version, the Wf1000-xm4. Noise canceling is fantastic, but the comfort is horrible. At first, I couldn't wear it more than 10-15min,it hurts so much, it was brutal, my ear was red, like after an infection... Wanted to send back, but gave it a few more weeks. Now my ear can tolerate it,maybe for a few hours max, but its everything, but comfortable... Looks like the Xm5 will be excellent comfortwise...

When I bought the successor, I was absolutely happy to see that they were small and sounded better with better ANC. Everything was just better. The major downside from the WF-series has been the subpar voice quality. Hopefully the XM5 will deliver on that and this will be the best in-ear you can get.
