Anonymous, 22 Jul 2023Their biggest innovation is finding different ways (bloatwares) to steal the user dataThe only positive thing about Chinese phones, at least Xiaomi, is that there is usually plenty of custom ROM development. eg. The Poco F3. However, ditching MIUI means that camera performance suffers. Pixels are the only ones that don't suffer from a hit to camera performance by running custom ROMs. Running official Lineage with Google Camera from the Play Store works really well on Pixels.

Also bad 4K. Awful colors, 10x more sharpening than it should have, huge rolling shutter, bad microphones.

It has just proven useless. Fast charging, the one thing people truly don't care about. Better lens? Not really. Number of cameras and their resolution in chinese toys does not transform into quality, so why follow it? And instead of having poor quality 8K, I'll rather have perfect 4K.
You chinese fans always boast the specs, but don't care about the result, which is mostly poor.

potato4k, 22 Jul 2023What kind of innovation are the Chinese doing? Multi aperture, fast charge, better lens/processing,number of cameras/resolution in next gen phone, hi res sensors with good hi res modes from ultrawide to tele, 8K including.
Not sure how it is with others, but my samsung can't easily turn on flash, also cannot have it always on(like flashlight) when shooting still. May be only my model, but it's still pretty behind.
Not to mention my alarm had no increasing volume option, it's just disaster coming from like Vivo to samsung.
I know samsung had for example variable aperture, but there is none now, it's even more useful now with bigger sensors tho.

so s21 ultra with upgrade zoom now, nice samsung and even nicer for people that keep buying recycled phones instead of teaching them a lesson
