Not gonna mention you can find many Infinix and Tecno phones with 8GB RAM easily under $200. So yeah they're really competitive in terms of RAM. (performance too tbh, but we're not talking about that)

you have to suffer, 18 Jul 2023Ram is cheap, only the 3rd gen LPDDR.Since LPDDR5 already existed nowadays, LPDDR4 is not even that expensive anymore. Also, LPDDR (Embedded RAM) is surely be cheaper than standard DDR RAM you would find on a PC, since anything that embedded is always cheaper than the non-embedded one (with the similar specs).

I hate how often companies use it. 7 gen 1 is actually pretty good overall, 7+ or 7 gen 2 should be standard by now. At this point I'm convinced it's smth snapdragon is doing. Prob just have way too many 778Gs lying around so they sell them cheap. That or yeilds on the new chips are abysmal

And this "old" chipset is literally better than 778G that used in Reno10 Pro or even 7 Gen 1.

Snapdragon 782 and 12gb of ram? I imagine the ram they use is quite cheap if they've decided to throw so much of it in a cheap phone with an old chipset.
