Because if everyone thinks like this, we will end up with crappy technology. Fast charging, at the expense of things that actually need to be fixed like overheating and a larger battery.

Way too many people care about charging. I want a bigger battery, not faster charging. Less overheating too. Those are the only two things holding the pixel back. And unlike others, I am willing to put my money where my mouth is.
I mean, seriously, charge your phone at night... like a normal person.

The battery life is still 1 full day, 24 hours - with an average of 6 hours screen time. So this is the bs that some producer's are telling us to cut some costs. I will never buy a pbone with a slow charger ever again.

I wouldn't care to pay as much as the Pro version if it is small form factor and has the same HW (except for memory, battery, and screen resolution) as the Pro, but at least the cameras should be the same...
Until that point I will keep my now 9 years old Sammy phone.

I can understand the price bump because of more expensive components, particularly with the SoC and the UFS storage, but 128GB base internal storage should not exist anymore on phones without microSD card support. Even without 8K video recording capability, it's still easy to fill up the whole storage with various social media apps, high res photos/videos, and mobile games/emulators.

Overall, there are people that like pixels. In my half year experience, pixel 7 has been great. If they manage to keep improving, pixel 8 will get a larger market share in US and other markets it's available at.
