It's incredibly slow. I could've finished 15 whatsapp transfers by moving over the backup manually than using this feature.

You are either right or wrong. You can't be subjective when it comes to how much battery a certain app consumes. You can get numbers that show which one is better and it's not a matter of what someone believes

i have all the phones with telegram installed.
all phones have battery drain a lot.
it's my opinion and i have experienced on all phones. whereas WhatsApp doesn't drain battery much.

Maybe by 2025 they will streamline for it to work via this QR setup for all transfer variations.

Now that's a legit lie. I have no battery draining problem using Telegram, and I always use Telegram more than WhatsApp.

and incase of transfer, afaik whatsapp not allow multi-access from multiple devices, so if it transfered to new phones using this QR code, the data on old phones most likely get wiped after transfer completely

I'm honest, i love WhatsApp more than telegram.
telegram is battery sucking machine. WhatsApp is awesome in terms of battery efficiency and minimum 2G connectivity for sending msgs.
