Apple fanboys are even more funny.
The custom rom boosts performance on the device.
The Galaxy S3 run smoother on a custom ROM.
You have tried the old bad software.

Without even taking into account the inflation. I chose such a low price because if you hold onto a phone for that long you may have seriously tight budget. But at 200$ you get a way better camera (yes, no OIS, but the software is superior by FAR), better display with higher refresh rate, faster charging, warranty. At 400 I got a realme gt 5g. Sd888 chip, 65w charging, 3.5mm jack, 120hz oled display, 8/12gb ram

Brief history Blackberry went out of business as it was the last 'major' phone manufacturer to install a second video call camera in 2013, Nokia the first was 2006 just before Apple iPhone.
QNX / Blackberry 10 OS is the operating system behind one version of autonomous driving.
Security updates simply not required.
Being such a late entrant into the new "premium" phone market was to play catch up when especially the far east market was already established
In 2016 you could get I did get a new sealed 4G Blackberry Z10 together with a sim only contract for a lot less than my previous contract, or any network Android contract
When BB left no more apps, app updates.
Then came the pandemic.
If there is no reason to update, no phone damage, no need to display wealth, if your phone does what it needs to do why update?
My reason to update was my Bank no longer supported Safari, there was no Blackberry App and I simply couldn't log on via my phone
Some iPhone contract are insane even the 2016 contract for whatever iPhone was new then, but I bet those 2016 iPhone are supported both in App and internet
In the end I went for a 5G Android phone simply because the one essential thing I needed it to do it couldn't.
I will upgrade if a phone has a feature I desire not on this phone, but I personally don't need to be perpetually in contract

Anonymous, 06 Jun 2023No, those phones can't be used today. Not as smartphones anyway. Stop talking nonsense.
... moreYes you can, thats why its called smartphone.
1. Older Krait cores are equivalent of cortex A53 so you can still get decent perfomance even today
2. They are called smartphone you can use them to accomplish lot of things, you can turn them to Retro console, they can be car navigation or Uber phone, kid can use to play roblox with some whatsapp, can be tv box with mhl or usb 3.0 etc
