If only Google could ditch the Samsung foundry and use TSMC foundry they could get a superior performing chip with better yield and efficiencythan what they could do/have with the 'full' capabilities of Tensor G3 (which I'm betting is again going to be inefficient)...hope Google ditches Samsung foundries soon...Until then It's not worth to get the pixels.

What does all of this mean in terms of thermal management? I'm on the fence about jumping off the Pixel line because my 6a is so uncomfortable to handle. I'll be chilling in my house browsing Twitter and the phone temp will hit 105. I was walking around my town in 90-degree weather and my phone hit 125 degrees ON IDLE. There's reports the gen-2 Tensor also runs hot in the 7 series and the Fold.
I love everything Pixel, but I won't sacrifice my fingers to an overheating screen.

Tensor might not be the best chip but damn it's very optimized with the hardware and the camera of pixel. Third party apps struggles sometimes but the UI experience is soo good on pixel.

The tensor g2 is still only comparable to 8g1 or even worse in multicore anyway, performance or efficiency doesnt seem to be googles focus.

Why would g3 compete with 8g2?In the US that make sense. The 8g2 phones' launch dates and availability are usually pretty late compared to that in China and EU. Oneplus 11 has a big delay when compared to China and so did Motorola edge+ (May). 8g2-powered zenfone 10 is scheduled to launch at June.
I think the reason behind they're competing with 8gen2 is partially due to other contenders' late launch dates, as well as the close-to-none existence of the + variant of snapdragon chips in smartphones in the US.
Another reason will be there's no phone that could beat Pixel Pro in every field at its price range in the US after the regular 150$ cut. In the case of Pixel 7 Pro, others win on chips and charging but lose on camera hardware (and probably USB port). Given Pixel 8 pro has a relatively large camera upgrade, I think the situation will hold next year.

I'm only asking to run anything on it, that's it, using Pixel 6 Pro and the most intensive games work meh, take genshin for example, I can max it out, but at 30fps, it will still drop frames sometimes, asphalt 9 maxed at 60fps will work wonders but battery will reach high temps and throttle after no more than 10 minutes

The G3 will supposedly manufactured in Samsungs 3nm GAAFET, bringing great efficiency improvements, even competing with TSMCs process. Just wait for the end result which will be released in October. October! That's still a long time.

G3 will be competing with 8 Gen 2 and Dimensity 9200 and not Gen 3 which will be 2024 chip. You are just absurd with these comparisons and score chasing, lack of knowledge in tech in any of it is just ridiculous. Go and enjoy iPhone if you so chase those scores, but somehow I feel you are some cheap low tier phone user reflecting your frustrations, somehow trying to compensate with score numbers.
oh and absolutely will be hoping to see you here and looking like a fool saying that G3 will be scoring this low as this supposed "leak" of G3. Can't wait, I will have popcorn ready.
