They want to distinguish between the cheaper and more expensive model. This is fairly common with all brands. Brands will typically also not delegate their best algorithms to mid range models even if they gibe them a good sensor

For some reason poco f5 and f5 pro have same cams by all specs gsma site have but f5 can do 8K while f5 pro can do 8K while seems as same cams for at least the 64mp cam is same while wide and macro have different sensors
