"while bigger sensors literally just bring in more light..... so does using hdr can handle the light better ??" Thats not the real intention why the HDR technology is developed now, is it ?
thats maybe right in words.. yes, these (dolby vision, hdr, hdr10, hdr10+) technologies handle light incredibly.. but their job is not to handle/decrease the extreme light in the sensor.. or is it ?

You preferring megapickle count over ... moreIn this price range, these are generally 1/1.56" sensors, here it is a 1/1.4" sensor which takes photos in 12MP by default (2.24μm). The 200MP are very useful for digital zoom. This photo sensor allows a x4 zoom with little loss in quality, look at the photos taken in x4 with the Realme 11 Pro +

You preferring megapickle count over actual sensor size stems from your lack of knowledge. The large majority who know even the tiniest bit about how this stuff works, prefer bigger sensors. So yes, stay wrong buddy and keep exposing yourself as a Samdung fanboy who thinks 200MP is a revolution in mobile photography, or whatever they have been telling you. Buh-bye!

David 040882, 16 May 2023Completely agree. I believe the sweet spot is around 50Mp200MP is interesting for cropping IF the sensor is good.
In any other case, I'd rather a 1" 50MP than a smaller 200MP, that's for sure 😁
But design wise, yeah, that's ... different 😅
