Your country's health authority is the one that has the power to give or (in this case) withhold permission for use of the watch's function in the country. This is the same for all smartwatches - Samsung, Apple, etc.

Same with Samsung here has not been accredited in Asia and some other countries (there was a list a not long ago from the Samsung site of of about 32 Accredited Countries) cannot use ECG and some functions but Huawei ECG and Apple can.

In The Netherlands the ECG functionality is blocked by Huawei on all their watches (3 pro, GT3, GT3 pro, Watch Ultimate, GT4, GT4 pro). Very childish just because ASML is not allowed to sell their EUV machines to China !

Huawei just needs to work on the watch software and in terms of correctness of measurements are one of the most accurate, I do not agree that only apple is the best, they are currently being sued for stealing patents for all sensors, mostly so they are not the best in this regard, and battery life is something that gives everyone trouble,,, apple has never exceeded a day or two of batteries, what a disaster is, every day to fill the watch, better not wear it mine

The battery on the Apple watch is a (bad) joke and the watch itself looks like a cheap toy - even the Ultra.

Hardware is fine, software is not great, so the overall experience is not great. The prices are too high for it, and it matches Apple Watch'e models (including the Max), which are far more accurate and have far better experience. I don't know why anyone would pay these prices for this.

I sent my gt2 for repair under warranty period, it has burn in on the screen and they wanted to charge for a new screen.

Their hardware is stupidly good, anyone arguing about that has literally never tried it or is flat out lying. The software used to be great too but ever since they got cut off from Google, it has been pretty bad (over 2 years now). Company statements have also been pretty dumb the last couple of years.

Still, blame what is to blame, don't spread incorrect information.

My GT 2 is still running between 10-14 days with ... moreThese are the full-fat Huawei watches that will be running Huawei's HarmonyOS whereas the GT series run a "lite" version of harmonyOS. The lite version has less functionality (things like only being able to reply to messages with preset responses, very limited multitasking and the maps app only being able to show an arror rather than a full map) but uses far less processing power, hence the difference in battery life.

To be fair, if 4.5 days can be achieved that's still pretty impressive endurance for a full-fledged smartwatch. The last one that's really been able to do that was the 46mm original galaxy watch.
