Yubikey. Nuff said.
Dope, 04 May 2023But in Android it asks for screen lock password every third day so that you don't forgot.... moreWhat do you mean by "Only Samsung don't annoys 🙌."... My Samsung requires me to unlock with screen lock password every 2 or 3 days depending upon the biometric used. As mentioned by others also there are many times we have to input the password etc in public which exacerbates the chances of someone seeing...Its annoying when at checkout or on crowded public transport etc... forgetting it is just an excuse as people can forget the many other passwords they have and what did they do before this was implemented...

Well for convenience, it's a good thing. But don't really know if it's good security wise... Personally I'd rather being more complex for security related things rather than being convenient.
My phone got robbed last year yet the robber can still contact me through calls / SMS and demand things, which means the security of using passkey itself is already questionable imo because they can easily access my phone even it's securely locked.
This is much less secure than using passwords. For example, if someone takes your phone and point it at your face to unlock it, then he can sign in to an app protected by a passkey by opening it and pointing your phone at your face again. Saying that it's the most secure way is extremely dishonest. It's more convenient and less secure.
Doesn't seem as secure as a password. Friends, roommate can access fingerprints, face for scans and also four digit PINs easier than accessing a password which is longer than four digits and alpha-numeric generally.
If they remove passwords altogether and make biometrics mandatory I'll stop using Google.
But in Android it asks for screen lock password every third day so that you don't forgot. And chances are most of the time you find yourself in public and are forced to enter the keys.

And Apple, the best of all will let anyone change the apple ID if someone knows lockscreen passcode (by default). They want user to set different codes by using screen time. This option should be the default or atleast users should be notified during the initial setup process that they should set different codes for lockscreen and for changing apple ID.
Also locking iphone components by serialising is of no use when it just only shows the the battery/display/camera not genuine in settings but continue to work as expected.
Users should have the option to enble or disable the use of their device components in some other device. So that users can enable if they want but by default the component should not function at all in other devices (given apple is putting effort in serialising the components in the first place).
This should discourage for thefts which is used for salvaging components.
I heard in new iphone models the faceid don't work if display changed and cameras don't function at all (for unauthorised repairs)? It's good move but atleast make the display render at 480p and battery capacity at 15%.
And no it won't hamper the right to repair. The user can disable them in settings and allow their family, friends use their device components if required.
And for scenarios if someone forced the user to disable then the user just need to visit any apple store with their proof of purchase and apple can disable from their end.
That's how things should be designed and should work.
(Sorry for the upcoming changes, if you don't like😁).
