Anonymous, 28 Apr 2023You sound like one of those selling a millionaire lifestyle plansnot at all xD

Over and above that, even if China sees an iPhone as a "domestic product" they know full well its not a local brand unlike OPPO, Xiaomi and Huawei, yet the Chinese market clamor for iPhone over all the special edition stuff their own local manufacturers do for them, lol!

blue, 28 Apr 2023I hope Xiaomi will end more like Siemens, Alcatel or Sagem. Who now remembers they produced phones? That wont happen as Xiaomi is just like Samsung and LG that basically covers all electronics you can imagine. Comparing them with phones brands that did only phones basically.
Anonymous, 29 Apr 2023How many versions of the Redmi Note 12 series of phones are there? Lol.By the time you’ve counted them all, there will be some more……
The main issue of china brands is that they're even asking more money for a phone that
even if good than the Iphone in many areas is not really that far away and software wise
despite android being good enough still in some departments they aren't comparable to samsung which is the absolute king of android.
So, long story short, they were breaking the market when XIAOMI was selling phones like the MI9 or MI9T Pro, the Mi 10/11, but since that point they just become absurdly expensive.
And people before paying 1200€ for a xiaomi they go to Apple.
Dam Samsung is now where to be seen in the world’s 2nd largest economy.
Rambhat, 28 Apr 2023Why do I fear Xiaomi will end up like nokia😭Xiaomikia?
oofio2461, 28 Apr 2023give us 5 years software updates, with lower prices then sales will go upDid I just see a pig fly? Nope, never mind, lol.
Is anyone really surprised by this?!
it's the kind of support you'll get from Apple. Also, owning a 3 or 4 year old iPhone is still as good as owning a brand-new midrange Android. Just my two cents.
On the other hand, all phone manufacturers should learn that majority of customers will not upgrade their phones every year, so they should stop releasing phones with almost no upgrades each year!
bulbulito.bayagbag, 28 Apr 2023Question is who is backing them, if it were just a small player, it would've died a long ... moreHuawei don't just sell phones, they are also in PV, server, telecom, cloud, AI, UPS, etc businesses, and is doing extremely well in those fields. No one is backing them except their own business.
All phones are optimized for the latest OS Nr. So every OS update will be messing up that optimization on what it was released. So it's probably better to no update your phone as all updates are probably like OS and nothing on skin but some optimizations get broken. So it will slow down in a long run without you notice it. So after few years you touch new phone and you get wow how fast :D buy new one as it is consumer era where things are not made to last for long. Light pulp was also first invented too good soo they needed to nerf it so it breaks in some time. As the first one was too good
DaFink, 28 Apr 2023Also, maybe if the Chinese brands would stop releasing a new smartphone on the hour every hour... moreThey cannot compete with the premium segment, that's why they inundate the budget and mid range market with their products, its their way of playing catch up to Apple.
Aierlan, 28 Apr 2023In professional business type jobs in large Chinese cities it's nearly all Iphones. Where... moreBrand image and the prestige that comes with it. Those people you mentioned in the province , outside the cities, may use a cheap android phone, but once they get a higher paying job, they will upgrade to an iPhone definitely.
SizN80, 28 Apr 2023Interesting that Apple has the majority of share in China and Japan, they also have a very loy... morei wouldn't say so. i think it has to do more with the fact of social status. for example here in my country (turkey) alot of people have the iphone 14/14 pro just because they want to look rich and not because of they prefer the features that the iphone has. (btw i don't hate anyone who enjoys using their iphones)
