safin asa, 28 Apr 2023Off topic we talking about Android, not signal. Google disabled 5G for Pixel 6 in Finland (I was visiting family there recently) so it could be a valid point. It wasn't a technical issue, it was a software restriction.
Anonymous, 27 Apr 2023Such a weird logic. Many users on this website are super weird. So you aren't an Apple fa... moreI can choose between 2 Os' which I do not particularly like - I'll go for the one running on superior hardware.
I'm sorry you didn't have the comprehensive ability to match your vocabulary which may have led to understanding easier.
Mohammed Barakat79, 28 Apr 2023Still no 5G in meddle east Off topic we talking about Android, not signal.
Users who are sucked with over bloated often Chinese and Samsung phones when do we get a solution to complete clean flash the phones and get a secure vanilla Android, for Google it's impossible but we know better
Still no 5G in meddle east
0odle-noodle, 27 Apr 2023from what I understand, you'll only need a computer to install apps that target an API lo... moreso that means i can still sideload games and apps outside the store at least it has higher api than 23?
you have to suffer, 27 Apr 2023but do i need a computer like on itunes????????? when will somebody at xda would make an app ... morefrom what I understand, you'll only need a computer to install apps that target an API lower than 23, or android 6, which almost all modern apps target higher than that. Any app that targets a higher API can still be sideloaded normally.
you have to suffer, 27 Apr 2023but do i need a computer like on itunes????????? when will somebody at xda would make an app ... moreNo computer needed. Just don't install really old apps. Android 6 apps are the minimum. Older ones won't work.
Well at least its good to know google care for its child called Android.
Still worse than Android is IOS and their so called Ecosystem and UIs which are way more laggy buggy than pure android experience free from artifical things known as UI.
Not Sure, 27 Apr 2023It's being going this way for a couple of years or more, I'm not an apple fan at all... moreSuch a weird logic. Many users on this website are super weird. So you aren't an Apple fan, but when you think that Android is becoming like the OS of Apple phones which you aren't a fan of, you consider to use an Apple phone? Use whatever you like. There is no need to try so hard to come up with ludicrous logic to justify your action. It's ridiculous.
Anonymous, 27 Apr 2023you can still sideload.but do i need a computer like on itunes?????????
when will somebody at xda would make an app like altstore for android 14..
HopeFilledIdiot, 27 Apr 2023No sideloading? Is android blocking sideloading?Nope. all that's happening is that apps that target APIs lower than 23 (android 6) are being blocked from installation, since they can bypass several security features.
you have to suffer, 27 Apr 2023no sideloading moment😢😢😢you can still sideload.
Nothing interesting it will be more stricter more less compatible
Anonymous, 27 Apr 2023yep android wana become ios meanwhile ios wana become androidIt's being going this way for a couple of years or more, I'm not an apple fan at all, but, with their hardware being so good lately and Android becoming more like iOS..... It's harder to justify, to myself, sticking to Android.
HopeFilledIdiot, 27 Apr 2023Okay but nothing I've read online suggests this. Was there some code spotted recently tha... moreApparently sideloading of apps that target Android versions lower than 6.0 will be blocked by default. If you're really want to sideload old apps, you can use a command shell.

Last I heard, they were laying the groundwork to allow alternate app stores to perform automatic updates
