Xiaomi should be ashamed their €1300 phones do not get monthly patches even when they are current generation.

So the Redmi Note 12 Turbo was just a fever dream, eh? I'll stick with my A52s until it dies then. I'll probably just buy an old used phone or just use my older phones that I have. They still work fine.
wtf i am disappointed because they use heater chip
Anonymous, 19 Apr 2023Tbh was hoping for SD 8+ Gen 1 on Pro model
Wonder if we gonna get F5 GT version anytime soon... moreMaybe only the GT will be the rebadged K60 Pro.
And the X5 GT might be the K60E at the end.
But seeing how Xiaomi is screwing the Global Market I don't have the hopes high.
They must be joking.
Even the SD7+ Gen2 is FAR superior than the 8 Gen1 due the thermals...
Unless Xiaomi is crazy and creates a SD7 Gen2 using the 8 Gen 1 underclocked chips.
So yeah... all the chips made by Samsung and not letting the Plus versions goes overseas.
Tbh was hoping for SD 8+ Gen 1 on Pro model
Wonder if we gonna get F5 GT version anytime soon, if at all

8 Gen 1 or 8+ Gen 1? The K60 uses 8+ Gen 1. If it turns out to be 8 Gen 1, I would be very dissapointed.
These companies never learn. Why freaking use the overheating sd 8 gen 1 instead of the cooler snapdragon 8+ gen 1?
507AMS, 19 Apr 2023the difference in performance between "8+ Gen 1" & "8 Gen 2" SoCs is j... moreI guess you didn't get the point here as you are comparing performance difference! Never buy a phone with 8 gen 1. Even with moderate usages, it will heat like crazy. Brands can control this issue to some extent with underclocking.
But a shady brand like poco which is well known for frying motherboards with updates and blacklisting everyone whoever make a complain or ask for help about it on twitter; will never be able to handle 8gen1 heat.
rizki1, 19 Apr 2023Xiaomi implements quarterly security updates or 90 days.. My Redmi can sometimes only get 2 mo... moreMy brother's Xiaomi phone from 1.5 years ago is yet to get Android 13 update. It has been coming soon since 4-5 months. And Android 14 has been announced. It's not even the first time, I used Poco f1 and used to get Android updates one year later when new Androids were announced. It's not "trust me bro" when you can just look at data online.

People love Sony, LG, Asus or Motorola which their flagship only 2-3 updates. But when it comes to software they don't care but for Xiaomi or any other Chinese brand they care... funny yet weird.
Will consider if
1. It includes IPS display as I can't bear PWM Flickr of OLEDs
2. Xiaomi must focus more in providing OS as well as security updates

Alex 94, 19 Apr 2023And updates every 6 months like on the F4. I like Xiaomi, but .... Xiaomi implements quarterly security updates or 90 days.. My Redmi can sometimes only get 2 months and never above 90 days. And this is a phone from 2021 (And will still get security updates until 2024), newer phone will be faster.
Another claim, source? Trust me bro..
kevvv, 19 Apr 2023And that 13% difference in performance might not be noticeable in the real life heavy usage. Not only performance, but the notorious heating issues of 8 Gen 1 that's worrisome. I would never buy it if I lived in a country with a hot climate. Oh, and then you also have to deal with Xiaomi's MIUI for a good couple of years. I'm on MIUI 14, but still have irritating bugs in my Poco F3 actually!
