Guys it's still the 8+gen 1 but underclocked... You can go to the gsmarena specifications of the Redmi k60 to see the clock speeds are exactly the same (8+gen 1 too with lower clock speeds) anyways the score here is also higher than the regular 8 gen 1 but abit lower than a normal 8+gen 1.
Cmon guys do your research properly
ashrobb, 19 Apr 2023It isn't a mistake. You can confirm the clock speeds in the Geekbench screencap, they are... moreNot that the clock speed to look at on Geekbench, the platform model of the chipset if it is SD8+ Gen 1 “sm8475” or the regular 8 Gen 1 “sm8450”. So, we can't predict what platform model belongs to.
In Redmi K60 with a model “23013RK75C“, uses qcom SD8+ Gen 1 (sm8475). Xiaomi underclocked it, so the clock speed is way similar clock speed to the regular 8 Gen 1.
I searched it from Device Info HW database, someone uploaded their device information. Looking for the model 23013* and it is confirmed that the Redmi K60's chipset platform is indicated as “sm8475”
In the future after it is released the model, you can show the internal specs of it, if someone install Device Info HW on Google Play.
rizki1, 19 Apr 2023didn't they make huge profits as you often said in the past?It is not about profits. Software support is part of early budget. Money generated by a mobile division does not "stay" there. It is set how much can be invested per year.
Samsung makes over $70 billion selling mobile.
Oppo (OP included) , Vivo and Xiaomi use to make between $32-37 billions.
Motorola probably not even half, since sales are basically half and majority of sub $350 devices.
Sony makes about $3 billion. This only possible because most sales are devices 4K screen.
Asus is way behind sony, surely.
Phones are small business for Asus and Sony. But much more important to Samsung, the main revenue source of Xiaomi and very important to BBK (probably very significant %).
Apple makes near $200 billion by selling iphones/ipads/accessories. Article on Phone Arena about survey done in US shows majority of iphone owners get new device with 24 months, despite the 72 months update policy.
Long software is waste of resources and majority of OEMs cannot afford too much money on this.
Probably 8+g1 downclocked.
Anonymous, 19 Apr 20238 gen1?? isn't that bad8 gen 1 is worse than SD 888
Where is f5??
Snapdragon 8 Gen 1............
Well that sucks, granted a year on maybe optimasion can keep it somewhat under control but still......was it that hard to put a plus variant into it?
So, no reason to upgrade from F4 GT

So yeah, if that is real, Xiaomi might be insulting to the customers very hard. And yeah I found that said chip exist in the Phone DB website along the plus version. Sadly, knowing Xiaomi they are pretty capable to use it and screw the customers not giving the Plus version overseas.

I can always listen to internetradio freely while in my country, because I have an unlimited data plan on my mobile subscription, but once going on holiday outside of EU, it's Game Over!
ishreal, 19 Apr 2023Two things that absolutely nobody but fossilized old people care about. Only trash I see is pe... moreUFS microSD cards exist. They were released by Samsung few years ago. They are much faster and allows us to transfer videos to laptops, desktops, etc.
Without a SD card and USB 3.0, it is a huge pain to transfer files.
Uploading to cloud storage also takes hours and hours.
You should refrain from making blanket statements. Not everyone lives by your world view. 🙄
8 gen 1? Are they for real? 8 gen 1 and Tensor G SOC sucks when it comes to thermals both fabricated by Samsung which is the main problem, they never solved their thermal problems, the only acceptable thermal was Exynos 2100 there rest are hot for no reason, like literally browsing google or some social media apps it heats up.. if they literally using 8 gen 1 for the pro they must be really high in the meeting room, might as well don't release the pro and just release the vanilla F5 with 7+gen2
kevvv, 19 Apr 2023Does GSMArena mentioned 8 Gen 1 twice in this article? Should be a mistake, since they also me... morePeople also believed that this was a rebranded Redmi Note 12 Turbo as well. Geez. I'll just get excited for phones that are already released then. Wait, never mind, I won't. Almost all of them are expensive with no expandable storage or headphone jack, despite phones like the Asus Zenfone 9 only having 256gb of internal storage. I'm just sick of it. I am so, so sick of it. It's always going to be the same stupid thing. New features that are in software and not hardware and just minor increases to already existing specs. No new features. Only removed features. Charger? Gone. Removable battery? Gone. Included case? Gone. Headphone jack? Gone. IR blaster? Gone. Iris scanner? Gone. MST? Gone. Unlockable bootloader? Gone. SIM card? (it's inevitable that it will go away soon). Prices? Up!
Why are sales so down?
Ytredgggg, 19 Apr 2023Another garbage Phone without sd und jackTwo things that absolutely nobody but fossilized old people care about. Only trash I see is people still whining about those unused relics.
Anonymous, 19 Apr 2023Other websites report 7+ for F5 and 8+ for F5 proNow I found a SD 7 Gen 2 (non plus) which is a Samsung made one on PhoneDB website.
come on Xiaomi!
Are you using the Samsung chips?
So, no SD8 Gen 2 phone for overseas? That would be a low for them.
