Asus unveils the ROG Ally, a handheld gaming console to rival Steam Deck Comments

Lol from what ive seen it doesnt rival the steam deck, it straight up beats it and by a bit (it'll be the price that could let it down and having no actual thunderbolt port atm).
Its fans are less audible aswell with i think better overall speakers. Its screen hits 500nits and can refresh at up to 120hz (1080p panel). It has 7ms response times which is solid for laptop/handheld.

AndroidAuthority, 04 Apr 2023Asus(especially ROG stuff) price their products highly.This is just Myth, base version of Asus Rog phones has always been cheapest Android flagship you can get. Around $500-600 every year, they just charge more for 256GB to 1TB version.

Olympus Oms, 04 Apr 2023If only it was dual OS. So you could choose your favorite, and switch if you needed the other OS. Its pc, of course you can put any os there even Android, Linux Distro, windows etc. Same to Deck you can install as many os as you want.

Good for mobile gamers I guess.
I nevwr understood the need for more and better handheld games than GBA and DS games.
When I'm mobile and have 2 minutes I want to eat an apple, not pull out a 5 course meal from my pocket.

Hmm, the prototype devices has already been reviewed by multiple youtubers out there, about a day ago. So far, it looks very promising.
