I need to bye this charger
I'm awaiting for the moment I connect the cable and is 100% the next second.
At least 1000w to charge in 1 minute when going outdoors.
I am of the ones who are really into super fast charging.
Agree about removable batteries for if the phone is still in good condition and fast enough after the years.
I think it would be great to reach 1000w and charge the phone in 1 minute, why not. And to take care of the battery, not always use that charger. If I go outdoors I use the 1000w charger. If I'm indoors I could use either mother's 30w, own 67w, sister's 120w, brother's 240w, etc. When about to sleep then just use a 10w or 20w charger for the night charge.
Later wait until the developers put in Android a software solution: when in the night just charge at 20w. When in the day charge at 1000w or let choose between different watts or speeds.

"I think more scary is the fact some people are buying phones like they're collecting stamps and then they dare to say how their batteries are still great after x cycles. Right."
It's just a hobby mate, I'm so bored all the time, but I do like phones and experimenting with new ones all the time, not necessarily the best of the best ones, and definitely not Samsung ones, but I like doing it nonetheless. Samsung is just simply not desirable to me at all.
"Let me know peeps how's the battery life of those 120W and 200W supporting phones after at least 3 years of daily usage."
I mean, I did use an iQOO 5 Pro (120W) for almost 3 years and the battery is still good enough for 1 day of usage.
My current main is a vivo X Note with 80W wired charging, but it has 50W wireless charging as well and since I just recently got myself an original 50W wireless charger for it, that's what I'm using now. It's just fast enough and it has a cool factor to it.
As for what happened to my duo of Zero Ultra phones, well nothing much really, but they made me start liking huge phones and that's why I have the 7 inch vivo X Note now, but because it's so wide and the Zero Ultra isn't, I just can't really go back, I mean I still do for like 2 days sometimes, but that's basically nothing.
I love Croatia, beautiful place, been there a couple of times, unfortunatelly not recently.
Thank you for your understanding!
Greetings from Hungary!
There is a better, faster, cheaper, with battery longer life technology ; removable batteries.

Sorry, if I sound rude or a bit harsh but it crossed my mind somebody could feel offended with my attitude and I was talking more general then directly you. Anyway...
I perfectly understand the comfort in using ultra fast charging speeds knowing a phone will be full in no time. It's a pretty nifty thing to have for sure, but is it so strange that some people are just worried how they batteries will hold over longer period of time? Some of them would rather choose a some sort of breakthrough in having a longer battery life then a ultra fast and questionable charging chargers because all we have are OEM's claims, but not a single certification for impact on the battery longevity.
Oppo achieved a great success with their Vooc and later SuperVooc 10A/6.5A 65W which they certified with both certificates, battery saftey and impact on the batery longevity. But with speeds rised up quicly everything after that was just strange. Why would they missed the opportunity to reasure those who need a proof from a more scienctific and standardised tech testing companies like TUW Rheinland. Even more strange is that Oppo payed that same TUW Rheinland to get certifitication for battery saftey which is proudly share on pretty much all BBK's brandings web sites. But, why would they opt to do just one certificate and not the other one too? Or in another words, why did they bother to pay for a certification at all?
P.S.: oh nice we're neighbours!
Warm greetings from Croatia, EU 🙂
I am seriously considering buying this phone. I am fine with a phone that's mid range like the Infinix Zero 20 and don't really see a reason to spend more except for fast charging.
I might just buy this phone because I like to live dangerously.

Nubia Z50 is another thing, I haven't used it ( yet ), so I can only assume that it's enjoyable to use, but it should be, I would definitely call it "good value", which the Zero Ultra isn't, but ultimately they are just 2 very different beasts.
As I already mentioned before, I was switching between an Infinix Zero Ultra and an Oppo Find X5, I never used the X5 to game, mainly because the battery life was just "ok" on it, the Zero Ultra however has excellent battery life, so I did use that for gaming, lite gaming only ( Bloons TD Battles to be exact ) and it ran is good as it can. Daily usage the Find X5 wasn't noticeably faster. So for my usage, the bigger display, longer battery life and faster charging was just a better choice than the technically much faster soc and better cameras.
That's all really. Hopefully we can finally understand each other's viewpoint and differences.
Cheers!
DarlingYext, 15 Apr 2023Typical spec junkie. Sad.Sorry, but the specs are what matters.
Charging speeds are another spec. And it's great to have higher charging speeds, but it can't be while sacrificing more important specifications.

Yeah, yeah they can. There's literally nothing preventing them from doing so. You think they can't afford to make a phone with a flagship SoC but can afford to waste money on a horrible gimmick phone that won't sell? These dumb gimmick phones are historically the worst financial decisions companies can make. I mean the LG Wing's horrible sales were probably the nail in the coffin for them. But no no, flagship SoCs are too expensive for them to use for whatever reason. Right?
"however looking at their sister company Tecno, they seem to be on their way of doing just that."
I don't think Tecno has ever made a good phone. In fact, to quote myself,
""Here I was thinking Tecno was finally gonna make a decent phone. But nope it's physically impossible for them to do so" I said this about the X2 Pro and I will continue to quote myself saying this on every phone I see from them until they release a good phone."
The X2 Pro was even more horribly overpriced than the Zero Ultra. Looking at the leaked specs and knowing that Tecno is supposed to be a company that produces cheap phones, I thought they may just finally release something good. But I think I also said they needed to price it right. And sure enough, they charged like 70%-80% more than they should've.

Starting with one of the best Mediatek soc around, they will probably soon be able to use 8 gen 2 or 8+ gen 2. If not, that's their fault.
I bought it to try it out.. as I said it before, I have job, I have disposable money on my hand, I didn't know if it will be a great phone or not, but I ended up enjoying it, so to me it is a great phone.
Yes, I called myself slightly insane, but if you think I'm actually a crazy person because of my hobby, which is collecting phones, then we are walking in the same shoes buddy.
My true main phone remains the Snapdragon 865 powered vivo iQOO 5 Pro and my current main is the vivo X51. Zero Ultra sitting at home rn waiting for me to switch back to it, somewhere in the next couple of weeks.

Not through the lens.
"Sure, the Nubia Z50 is absolutely a much better phone."
Ok. End of story.
"but ordering from far away is something not many are willing to do."
But ordering from the Chinese company Infinix is better?
"Yes, I have two"
Great I'm talking to a crazy person.
"in December, before the Z50 even existed"
You bought that trash just days before the Z50 came out? I almost feel bad.
"As for why I bought two? Because I'm insane"
I didn't read this part before typing what I did earlier.
"no actually I collect phones"
Well that means it wasn't bought because it's a good phone.
"Why couldn't they put a flagship chipset in their phone you ask? Well, because those chipsets are very expensive and Infinix is way too small of a company to risk that."
Like I said, "Why couldn't they? Pricing? I thought you just said this "isn't a "Best Value" type of phone"? Why suddenly start caring about the price?"
joe nodden, 08 Apr 2023"I think there is a bit of a price difference between them."
Let me make one thi... moreNo, I didn't take them apart, I work at a mobile phone accessory store, I see at least one S23 Ultra every day. You can cleary see where a sensor starts and where it ends, Zero Ultra's sensor is about the same size as the one found in the S23 Ultra, so they are either both correct about their size or they are both lying, either way both of these phones have a pretty big sensor. They aren't the same sensor I know, but the size is comparable.
Sure, the Nubia Z50 is absolutely a much better phone, but ordering from far away is something not many are willing to do. I personally am willing to, but I bough my first (Yes, I have two) Zero Ultra in December, before the Z50 even existed. I like experimenting with phones from rare or new companies. As for why I bought two? Because I'm insane.. no actually I collect phones, but also becaus I'm slightly insane. Now, the two I have are different colors at least.
Why couldn't they put a flagship chipset in their phone you ask? Well, because those chipsets are very expensive and Infinix is way too small of a company to risk that.
At any case, I own this phone and I like it. Specs aren't everything. Is the Z50 better with the 8 gen 2? Of course it is. But that doesn't mean that the Zero Ultra is bad. I had an Oppo Find X5 and that phone was pretty fast, obviusly faster than the Zero Ultra, but in normal daily usage it wasn't at all noticeable. I never game on my phone, so the Zero Ultra is just about perfect for me, for you it clearly isn't.
DarlingYext, 08 Apr 2023Infinix Zero Ultra MSRP: 500 usd
Hungarian cost: 780 usd
S23 Ultra Hungarian cost: 1780 ... more"I think there is a bit of a price difference between them."
Let me make one thing clear. I've never said the S23 Ultra is a good deal. It's absurdly overpriced. And comparing trash to trash doesn't make it any less trash. The Zero Ultra is also absurdly overpriced. And that's ignoring the fact that the S23 Ultra is worlds ahead of the Zero Ultra and comparing prices is a fools errand to begin with.
"Yes! And they are also usually found in cheaper phones, like in this case."
The Zero Ultra is not a cheap phone.
"but it's unfair to say it actually costs 780 usd just because of my country."
Have I not made it clear that even at $520 it's terribly overpriced? At that price point it's competing with phones with the 8 Gen 2. Phones with over double the performance. Look at the Nubia Z50. The garbage Zero Ultra is literally more expensive than that.
"This is a 500 usd phone and for that you get a lot"
You do not. You get a 200MP sensor that does not get taken advantage of. You get 180W charging. Cool? Charging 5 minutes faster doesn't justify spending hundreds more than you should and axing battery capacity. Battery capacity isn't a big issue to me, but referring to price, like I said earlier, "I mean having the ability to charge that fast isn't a bad thing. But if they're focusing the budget on that it usually means it's not a very good phone for your money." But back to the original point, you get nothing else.
"Some people however prefer curved screens over flat displays"
Trust me, I'm one of those people. 😂 But it appears the majority of people are not. And those that are, such as myself, probably do not care enough about it to buy this horribly overpriced phone.
"This isn't a "Best Value" type of phone"
Yeah, I know. And it's terrible as a result.
"They didn't put a flagship soc in it, they couldn't."
Why couldn't they? Pricing? I thought you just said this "isn't a "Best Value" type of phone"? Why suddenly start caring about the price?
"I also compared the size of the camera sensor in my Infinix to the S23 Ultra"
Did you take apart the phones just to measure the sensors? Or if you're going by specifications, like I said before, "Hard to find objective information with scum companies fabricating specs. Maybe it does have the size going for it, beats me."
"but they have been called that for a very long time already"
Does not justify lying. It's like SoC manufacturers lying about nanometers.
joe nodden, 07 Apr 2023"It's only that expensive in my country"
No, the MSRP was absurdly expensive... moreInfinix Zero Ultra MSRP: 500 usd
Hungarian cost: 780 usd
S23 Ultra Hungarian cost: 1780 usd
I think there is a bit of a price difference between them.
"Inferior SoCs have historically shown worse camera performance" Yes! And they are also usually found in cheaper phones, like in this case. I know 780 usd is extremely high and you can find the D920 in 300 usd phones as well, but it's unfair to say it actually costs 780 usd just because of my country.
This is a 500 usd phone and for that you get a lot. You can still get much faster phones with a better soc at this price as well, yes, I know. Some people however prefer curved screens over flat displays, for them there aren't many options at this price. People who want really crazy fast charging will choose this as well. This isn't a "Best Value" type of phone, the same way a Galaxy S23 Ultra isn't either, this was Infinix's flagship tho, sho that should make sense. They didn't put a flagship soc in it, they couldn't.
I also compared the size of the camera sensor in my Infinix to the S23 Ultra, and they are about the same size. So either both companies are lying about sensor size or they are both correct.
1 inch sensors aren't actually one inch I know, they are "1 inch type", that's how they are called, it's pretty terrible naming but they have been called that for a very long time already.
DarlingYext, 03 Apr 2023It's only that expensive in my country because it's not officially sold here, Alza b... more"It's only that expensive in my country"
No, the MSRP was absurdly expensive. Even half a year later it's still that overpriced.
"in which case the S23 Ultra's camera is a gimmick as well"
Yeah, but apart from the non-gimmick cameras the S23 Ultra has, the difference is the Ultra has a chipset capable of taking advantage of its cameras. A horrendous Dimensity 920 only capable of shooting 4K30 video cannot take advantage of a good sensor. Inferior SoCs have historically shown worse camera performance. Look at comparisons between Exynos and Qualcomm variants Samsung flagships, the horrible Exynos chips always manage to process shots worse. So, even if the 200MP sensor wasn't a gimmick, which it is, it would still be a gimmick in this phone.
"Sensor size is still very important and the Zero Ultra has a bigger sensor than every phone on the market except phones with 1 inch type sensors."
Well "1 inch type sensors" are a lie. They're just under two thirds of an inch. I also didn't realize that for a while myself. Idk if the alleged "1/1.22 inch" sensor in the Zero Ultra is a lie or not. Hard to find objective information with scum companies fabricating specs. Maybe it does have the size going for it, beats me.
I just know that an inch or below sensor is nowhere near enough to take advantage of 200 megapixels. 50 megapixels sure, 200 no. It's hard to see the Zero Ultra's sensor size as an advantage while knowing this. It may be bigger than some other sensors, but comparing trash to trash doesn't make it any less trash. I'm no 12MP sensor fanboy like every Sony fanboy in existence. They're terrible, but 200 is useless with this nonsense sizing.
