They should edit the article, OnLeaks confirmed that 5.8” screen is a mistake, it will be 6.2” instead.
It is actually 6.2", not 5.8".
I wish camera bump had matte metal instead of glossy one
It will probably use the same 6.2 inch display as the regular S21

love the compact body, but isn't it strange to get announced in may, pixel 7 got announced in october
Anonymous, 15 Mar 2023Screen size has nothing to do with overall size. Have you seen phone has 15cm height x 7 cm w... moreFair enough I guess
noice
biggest camera bump ever
That's a good size but bezels are very tiny. They should make a little bit them wider
I can't wait. I missed my old 5.8" smartphone. Ideal pocket size. Big smartphones are for people with big hand bags. I found that compact size phones have most of the features of "Big Bricks".
Daemon Targaryen, 15 Mar 2023That's looking like the ideal size for me. My LG G5 felt great in the hand thanks to the ... moreHonestly I wouldn't mind the Google Pixel's Tensor performance (or lack of) as I don't play games on a phone, but...
I do think for Fold model, Google should get at least Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 because Google can talk whatever they want for their chipsets on a regular chocolate bar phones as they're saying for years, they focus on AI more then brut force. Sure whatever, but Fold is meant for better work productivity, so it would make sense if it comes with a stronger performing chipset which is by thw way more efficient then Tensor (G2). But I doubt that will happend. Google will have Tensor chipsets on all of their phones until year 2026. when contract between Samsung and Google is ending. Google will decide upon the sales of all Pixels made with Samsung if they would continue to work with Samsung or not. So far things looked promising, but folding phones are something else. We shall see.
Cheers!
Past few years absolutely no innovation from google.
Horrific bad looking abomination like ninja turtless from Ninja Turtless sereis.
They should hire proper design team but no. They gave same horrific design with only slight differences .
I'm really looking forward to see what improvements Google is pushing to the Tensor G3 battery... imagine Pixel 8, stock android experience, with the efficiency of a 8 Gen 2...
Multiple other more recent sources state a 6.2" screen now and not 5.8"
Sounds more accurate given the dimensions
That's looking like the ideal size for me. My LG G5 felt great in the hand thanks to the rounded sides. It's about 149 mm in height but was a tad too wide at 74 mm.
If this Pixel 8 is only at 70 mm, that's about right. It's still a tad to tall but I use a Razr 5G as my daily driver. I still use Nova and have all my apps right at the middle with a 4x2 weather widget at the top. Very easy for me to reach all four corners. Typing from my Flip 3 right now and it's the same thing. And these are over 160 mm in height.
Pixel 8 looks really enticing. Went back to the more comfortable rounded sides that I've preferred since getting a Xiaomi Mi 3 after my more angular HTC One M7. The Pixel 8a might come even smaller back to the days of the non-XL Pixel 1 through 3. My Pixel 3 at 145 mm and 68 mm in width is a dream to hold.
Too bad Pixel 8 or the Pixel Fold won't come with the critically-acclaimed Snapdragon 8 Gen 2. Qualcomm finally got it right with battery life.
hmm, 15 Mar 2023I dont get it what makes it so large for 5.8 inch screen ? 150mm tall.
Samsung S23 is 6.1 inc... moreScreen size of 5.8” was a mistake. The leakster changed the info about screen size on new Pixel 8. He used the wrong calculation to measure the screen size. It should be 6.2".
Check the source below GSMarena article.
Cheers!
NoBot, 15 Mar 2023Oh NO!
What a huge disappointment.
I already feared it would be 6.1, but 5.8 is a nightmar... moreRoumors say 8 Pro will not arrive with curved screen.
It will be flat.
Cheers!
