H... moreXiaomi got so much negative review for their camera software, despite it being perfectly fine for the HW, so they turned to Leica for help. Then down hill, apart from the lens coating. Obviously I can't say for certain that Leica is to blame, but it happened that time. Should've just kept going on their own software and limit Leica cooperation to optics only.
The 12s Ultra should absolutely demolish the 11 Ultra, yet is let down by the software.
They main sensor on the 13 pro as well, but no it is even worse than both. In the compare tool here on gsmarena, it is clear as day that the 11 Ultra is significantly better performing, in good light, despite the lesser hardware.
Strangely the 13 Pro performs noticeable worse in low light than the 12S Ultra and 11 Ultra, despite same sensor and aperture as the 12s Ultra only newer. Colors are completely washed out. Should have improved, but have instead degraded the performance. Only one possible reason, the software.

I already switched out from Xiaomi Mi9 (SD855) to Samsung S22+... because Xiaomi refused to provide Android upgrade to Mi9 (SD855), which itself is a flagship and very capable device but now stuck with Android 11.
I will never want to go back to Xiaomi anymore since Samsung promise 4 major Android OS updates and 5 years of security updates.
We are all talking about reduce e-waste nowadays, and one of the key item to reduce is smartphone. All vendors must provide more OS upgrades to all smartphones, this is one simple way to prolong the life span and reduce more e-waste to environment.

Xiaomi needs to fix their cameras. They peaked with MI 11 Ultra and has been downhill since. Have never seen that with any other company. I hope 13 Ultra returns them in the primary path. Bought the 12 Uktra and it was handily beaten by MI 11 Ultra (photgraphically), what's that?

I really hope the Xiaomi pad 6 Pro/none pro have SD card slot and pro being global I would buy the pro if the differnce between vanilla is short

Well amybne next year or 2025 they will come with 2 or 3 inch sensor. Lets see.
Anyway i am happy they are better than most other competitions.

Anonymous, 15 Mar 2023but tend to overheat when loading heavy apps and big power consumption Sd 870 doesn't have overheating problem. That is reserved for 888 and 8 gen 1. Also it doesn't consume a lot of power. My screen on time is 9:30 hours.

Because fast charging (100W+) on mobile phone = faster deterioration of the unremovable battery. So yeah, obsolescence much ?
It's just my point of view on these fast charging tech (all manufacturer) because frankly, 10 min is insane, 20 or 40 min to top up, it's basically the same, and yet, my phone is capped @85% to preserve the battery :) (And plenty of juice for all the day since S8G2 is efficient)
