can't they invent a device like a suppository to augment ppl's lives, all these dudes pushing this so-futuristic-and-totally-needed-stuff onto markets.
at least it will be concealed, u could even drive with it.

Two major errors in this article:
    1. nReal Air glasses do not have 6DoF tracking, but only 3DoF. nReal Light glasses have 6DoF capability.
    2. nReal Air glasses do not have 3,840 x 1,080px OLED display. They have two micro-OLED screens working in parallel (both screens show the same content) with 1920x1080 resolution. There is a beta firmware that is able to reconfigure both those screens to work as a single 3840x1080 screen for 3D SBS content display, but unfortunately this feature has been in beta for weeks. In contrast, almost identical TCL NXTwear S glasses have this function straight from the box.

Anonymous, 09 Mar 2023It's going to be the future bruhMaybe in a decade or two. VR headsets are still too cumbersome, low resolution, and low FOV.

AR has more potential for wider adoption in the near term imo - like Pokemon Go was a huge success. If we could get more games that use similar concepts I think it would become more popular

i believe at some point the real everyday gadget will end up where Google left it's Glass.
That was a super cool concept, as creepy as it also was

This is one technology I won't ever use.. AR/VR etc.. Now is the only reality. All else is false. Therefore I like to live in the present moment.

I used my Quest 2 the other day for the first time in a year. Put it on, started up a game (Blade and Sorcery), and 15 minutes later I'd had enough
