Well deserved

I'm so happy Apple still does compact size flagship phones, 14 Pro is perfect compromise for both easy one hand usability and screen size, weight and so on and it fits perfectly inside pocket.

Huawei beats Apple to the emergency SOS via Satellite game and it's even 2-ways but I guess you cannot give an award to a company the US is sanctioning without getting MWC sanctioned

[deleted post]What is your fixation on whether people can afford the Fold 4 or not? I could if I wanted, but no way am I dropping that kind of money on a device that has a giant crease running down the middle of a screen that is about as durable as toilet paper, and I know for sure I’m not the only person who thinks that.

The vast majority of smartphones are cheaper than the fold 4, and that coupled with its design compromises are why that vast majority are better options than the Fold 4.

Either way though, why are you so interested on what other people can afford?

In a phone you cant run any apps from meory card apart maybe maps for navigation like Vaze or Maps.me sygic etc where maps are stored on SD card but app runs from phone.
Many else things works same way but no app you cant save and run only from memory slot.

Try to run a game from memory card or something more heavy like a photographic tool for improving photos etc.
No chance. Even i know something like Vaze or Maps.me can store maps into a card but whole app needs phone memory to run.
But thats are only exceptions and are minirity compared to several billions apps in whole applestore.

Usualy its enough to toss it out and in to your device several times and you can read card broken to use it must been formated. Then all your data are good for vipeout.

I wouldn't put iPhone as the "best" phone, the hardware is ok but it have an outdated lightning port.

Also the software is horrible, you can't install what you want on your device that you have pay for. For exemple, if I don't want Windows to spy on me i install a Linux distro on my PC or if I don't want Google to spy on me i install a custom ROM on my phone like Grapheneos.

You don't fully own an iphone, but Apple own a part of your life.

(As shown before, privacy settings don't stop iPhone from tracking users, iOS sends Apple a detailed log of how users interact with the App Store, Apple Collects Enough Data From Your Phone to Track the People You Hang Out With, Apple Makes iMessage Less Private On Purpose, Targeted Ads, iOS 16 does communicate with Apple services outside an active VPN tunnel it leaks DNS requests, Siri chat, Illegal data collection and the list goes on...)

Oem android ROMs also have some of these issues, but on some phones like Pixels you can ditch stock os and Google apps for better privacy and even better security with couple of custom ROM (and heck build your own ROM if you really want to).

Personally, I would never use iOS but to give credit where credit is due, iPhone 14 Pro is the only flagship phone of this size that has basically zero compromise relative to its larger version

Anonymous, 03 Mar 2023First time as a samsung user i agree with you on some point. Even the fastest speed SD card... moreSamsung definitely aware that they can make more money by giving larger internal storage. Just look at S23+ - you have to pay an extra $120 to upgrade the storage from 256GB to 512GB. If you want to make the same storage upgrade for the S23 Ultra, that would be an extra $180. S23 Ultra 512GB to 1TB? That'd be an extra $240. You can easily get a 1TB microSD card for $100 or less.
