The Dynamic Island is a novelty feature where the appeal wears off after a few days. Having a big pill shaped shadow on the top of your screen on an Android is just not necessary. Especially when Android has so many other features.

It's much more secure than using biometrics. It's funny that you think that Face ID is the most secure way. An attacker can take a phone from you and simply point it at your face to unlock it and walk away with your unlocked phone.

I don't understand this. How is this similar to Dynamic Island? As I understand it, the point of Dynamic Island is that it can change its size depending on the usage, thus "dynamic." This is just a static status bar. If it's dynamic, the author of the article should explain it.

Not one person makes product like thses so nobody claims it so far, only probably the industrial designer, but since Jonny Ive left apple before iphone 13 so...its cramps the aligence of product, sounds fictional but 22 nobel for physics, proves somthin like that can exist, thanks lord so many ppl got fired bcos of AI now atleast one can speculate.

Just like LG did with the V10 and then HTC.
But yes, Dynamic Island is even less ergonomic because your have to click to show more information, the iphone screen is bigger and you have to click with your greasy fingers on your selfie camera now. Apple just redesigned the idea and the improvement is minor compare to the original idea.
It's sad now oem will copy the stupid Apple way of LG top controls.

My girlfriend have iPhone 14 pro, I have 13 mini. I prefer notch more than this useless black thing called dynamic island. I am not a fan of notch, but it is better option for me.

Not a fan of this adopting Dynamic Island, it takes up for room and this phone the camera is tiny anyway. Its another trend that Apple think is correct. LG done the same years ago and got nothing for it. Im sick of Apple thinking they are the trend setters and the years they have been making phones they are brainwashed a many. Apple and Tesla are so alike.

Nope. The stupidest idea since the punch hole stop wasting screen estate. Notifications can be utilized way more creatively than build an black capsule or square etc. around the punch hole. ZTE has the right approach as does sony. If it was me i would enable an remove gesture for the notification bar and another swipe gesture for it to reappear when needed

They copied just the physical appearance of the dynamic island. Probably, to win some customers. All the software capabilities will not be present.
Same case scenario, when some manufacturers copied the notch. I think, only Xiaomi Mi 8 had actually the software capabilities of the notch from iPhones. All the rest, were just copying the appearance.
At least, when Apple is "copying" something, they do it to improve the user experience and capabilities of iPhones. Not to make iPhones look like other phones.
