But can oled match that? Idk, and if it can, it will take long untill more advanced and better tech will be around.

An average pwm for IPS can range beteeen 500 to 30 000[1], not 3000. That is because their pwm signal converter typically supports only this range. If you are referring to the common pwm range in the market, it would be 25 000 not 3000[2]. The figure 3000 hertz you have read probably is given by TUV certification for flicker-free.

Why else do you think every premium phone nowadays used OLED panels? 😅

OLED Enjoyer, 01 Mar 2023I'd rather be blind, then look at IPS clouding and "blacks"I'd rather look at IPS clouding and "blacks" than go blind as a result of OLED flicker.

Also, IPS screens don't experience burn-in like OLEDs do (with the navigation buttons and other permanent UI elements slowly leaving a permanent impression on the OLED screen).

Unfortunately, every premium phone nowadays just has to have an OLED.

                Erm

                It is pointless.
                1. Nubia is notorious for NOT Updating their phone.
                Example: red magic
                2. Their global firmware is bad, buggy and poorly design.
                3. There is close to zero optimization.
                So, please ignore the product

Anonymous, 01 Mar 2023Tech is nothing without software. Let Apple teach them a lesson, then the tech will boon. Most of the times it is Apple learning the lesson from Android like wireless charging, AoD, fast charging, dual camera, and the list goes on. Most of the times when Android manufacturers learn something from Apple it is not good for consumers like non-removable batteries, no charger in box, no headphone jack, etc.

Sorry but I had the LG Thrill P925 back in 2011, which was a 3D phone that didn't need glasses. It used it seems, the same multi-layer that ZTE is now using.

This as a test device is great, if it takes off they can launch an pro version with several upgrades like,

Oled 3d display, dolby vision certified, higher brightnes
Bigger battery, and better chipset like 8+gen 1.

I've always liked the concept of 3D displays but honestly the tech from 10 years ago was just not that great.

I believe the idea was just too early for implementation back in the 2000s-2010s.

If anything, 3D tech is more doable today, and will be even more doable in the future when people finally figure out how to create a 3D effect that's actually good. It'll be interesting to see how good this one is.

I remember the LG 3d glasses-free phone. Made several people get ill from viewing videos.

So, good luck. 3d screens is a dead technology.
