Even further, if there would be some kind of global regulation to limit phones production/releases. Decrease of carbon footprint is totally necessary. Though it's indeed hard to implement such idea. Meanwhile, you can read people defending buying phone every year from chinese brands on this site.

Said nothing... Xiaomi's software is a disaster, and the fact that they are taking so long to release Android 13 is a joke. Time to change to Pixel Experience.

Probably, yes - but not yet.
No Poco's are on the list because "it's a separate company".
It should still get this Android update and the MIUI update, though it'll be the last Android update most likely.
Maybe there'll be another MIUI update on it later though optimistically.
It's a shame that Xiaomi writes-off their hardware prematurely. It's a bad customer experience and bad for the environment to bury perfectly good hardware before its time. Legislation should be passed to force all phone and tablet manufacturers to support their devices for at least 4 years or something.

I'm overall done with Xiaomi, their support is the worst i have ever experienced. Not to mention that they became absolutely ridiculous with prices, having the same price as Galaxy S or iPhone is insane and definitely not comparable.
I'll have to live with this hell UI for a long time unfortunately.

most phones on the list are already Android 13 with MIUI 14, this is old news. Even many Xiaomi phone not on the list already Android 13..
because GSMArena didn't post much about Xiaomi updates so many people don't know anything about Xiaomi.
