Stevenes, 23 Feb 2023But since 5G and VoLTE are currently NOT working for Pixel phones in countries where Google is... moreVodafone does internal testing and the pixel phones sold at VDF stores will probably have vdf customized ROM that will allow for volte-vowifi and 5G NSA-SA features only for Vodafone.
Otherwise (more unlikely), the global ROM would update its default carrier config to allow these features (for Vodafone only) to be enabled on every device.
Yes it's great, but what about to manage 5G, it doesn't work in Czech Republic, only 4G /LTE. We have just bought Pixel 7 Pro, and it's for sure a Vodafone fail. The biggest problem is, if go to their shops, they know nothing and blame the phone.

(By the way I have volte on all my pixel devices through Vodafone:) . )
But I wait to see if Greece will be amongst them
But since 5G and VoLTE are currently NOT working for Pixel phones in countries where Google is not selling them official, what will Vodafone succeed in doing?

In Hungary, the local Vodafone was sold to the anti-democratic government. Now they only use the company name.

Son in the city you have better speed and coverage and Dialog (now known as Orange) was axed on country side. You as a tourist, it's more interesting to use Orange (even now Orange is much ahead in the city)
This is actually a great news because most countries can only choose between Apple or Samsung in the top tier phones. Adding pixel to the equation is a healthy competition and consumers may benefit in the long term.

This site is getting seo spammy, too bad, as I used to visit it since the candybar phone era. Eh, moving on.
HopeFilledIdiot, 22 Feb 2023Same experience in India as wellAnd they fked up Idea as well. They bought an actually useful ISP and now they'll run it to the ground with them. And then we'll have a duopoly which definitely goes well for everyone. Unbelievable.
