Though it quite seems as the black bar is slapped on camera to hide something as optical lens(es) or sensor(s).

Smart Pikachu also said meizu are only using 800 series sensors this iteration, to keep price low and to test the market after being absent so long. They plan to release a higher priced device later in the year.
