Anonymous, 04 Feb 2023Unisoc t606 is minimum for normal usage.I agree, BLU is working on a new version of this phone with T606 128+6 50MP camera. Most people do not know that US Carriers like At&t and Verizon blacklisted Chinese chipset makers like Unisoc, so Mediatek becomes the only option for budget smartphones. BLU is an American brand, focused on low income smartphone customers that are looking for an affordable option to stay connected. If you are looking for performance with high end chipsets, BLU might not be for you.

Anything with 720 x 1600px resolution is completely useless and should not exist. 720 x 1600px Resolution is only justified for very small screens.

This phone is actually basically the same as the Tecno Spark 9T. Only difference is that this has a bigger display, higher base storage (The Tecno has both 64gb and 128gb options) and the fingerprint scanner is on the back instead of it being side mounted.

blu used to be a nice cheap brand, now their phones are hot garbage, i remember having a Blu Vivo X assigned at work and it was a freaking tank, great battery and decent performance and last year i bought a s91 pro as a 2nd phone for my new job and it was just awful, the most lagged phone i have used (even if it has 4gb ram), the slowest charging i have ever seen, screen would go white at max brightness with auto setting and in manual you wouldnt read shit

That's a 2020 CPU. It's not a bad chipset at all. It's around the time mediatek started to really up there game but I think a G90T or G95 or G96 would have been a better choice. The screen size appeals but a pretty old processor, not so much.

Which EU would ban chipsets like these or have a bare minimum standard protocol
As I keep telling people unisoc is the only option for ultra entry level smartphones... Manufacturers have not catched on
And sadly sites like gsmarena have weak entry level review profile/catalogue
These T series unisoc are running butter smooth.. but even d-list brands like cubot etc aren't using them enough such a shame
