5G is launched in a weaker band N78 (3500 MHz). So you will get coverage only in the open areas. You will not get the coverage even if you go 2 metres inside the gate of your house (if surrounded by houses).

They started rollout in last October and covered so many cities in so less time is huge achievement.. And fact that they will provide pan-India coverage by December this year is something no country has done yet on such a big scale considering the area encompassed by India..

5G as a whole is still silly, with quite limited use cases.

Jio 5G is available only in very small areas in any particular city. So when they mention city, actually whole city is not fully covered by 5G. I am saying this based on personal experience as I get 5G only at few location in my city though Jio mentions my city is covered by 5G.
