I have the family version with the prime membership. I mostly use it for my kids can listen to music on Alexa and my Audi has built in Amazon music, which I use for the kids. I rarely use it for myself as I use apple music. If they increase the price for my configuration, I'll drop it to individual. I already dropped Spotify for the quality and Amazon has all the kids music and services Spotify had.

Such a stupid move. You raise the price when the options are very limited but they're not. Although many of the options are not always strictly legal, lip service is paid to people going on free music platforms. So, to idiots running Netflix, apple music, Amazon music, a message, you need me and my money. I don't need you. There are loads of alternatives. You're literally shooting yourself in the foot. What a dim move.

No need to pay expensive crap.
            For example: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=U5gT8hf0Z_M
Once you have your link put double SS before youtube and press download on screen that pops up it works.
            https://www.ssyoutube.com/watch?v=U5gT8hf0Z_M

You can use this with every youtube content.
In case of phone you can even dowload app via Googleplay.

Anonymous, 21 Jan 2023I know so many people that have unlimited data and still pay for music subscription like they ... moreThe reason people pay for something like this is, you get lossless audio. YouTube is the complete other end of the sound quality range.

Up until Google announced they'd raise the price for YT Premium, I was subscribing to it. I did however never use YouTube Music, as the quality is terrible even for something bundled and "free".

                  1. Amazon have altered their Prime membership so that their music app is pretty much useless unless you pay the monthly fee.

                  2. That fee has now gone up.

                  3. Amazon like all American companies charge UK buyers a like for like Pounds/Dollars amount so they're ripping off UK buyers from the start.

                  $10.99 does not equal £10.99

I just don't understand why people pay to listen to music. You can download whichever song you want from various platforms and keep it in your phone's storage or memory card and it only takes 3-6gb depending on the size and number of songs. I am awestruck when I see people using platforms to stream music. Same goes with people asking for unlimited g photos storage on custom roms. Just buy an external hdd and store it there.

Why don't you download the songs?
What do these services have that is not available for free on the Internet?!

This the problem of signing up for music streaming… it was a bargain when launched and now they have all hiked prices and feels like it’s getting expensive.
Especially Amazon can make tons of cash elsewhere , you would think they could afford to be cheaper.

People still use amazon music? geez. it used to be a great service, its just bad now. it used to be cheap, had time synced lyrics, and high res audio which no other service had at the time, but now the other services do have it. I would've stuck with amazon music if it weren't for the fact that amazon completely changed the layout at least 4 times, forcing you to relearn how to navigate it. after the 3rd or 4th time i just gave up and went to Spotify, because the layout doesn't change, and its one of the simplest layouts there is.
