Anonymous, 15 Dec 2022It is snapdragon, but not disclosed. My guess, 480+. A lot of people are saying it uses Snapdragon 695. Funny how they call this an "entry level top tier" phone during the launch event.

DMX, 15 Dec 2022Lenovo including in the ugly and generic designs!!! what an ugly thing...I will take generic over whatever Xiaomi was doing with the Redmi K20 any day. Too many of these ugly crazy color phones are coming out now days. It's nice to see something that doesn't make me want to puke in my mouth a bit. I may be using a Pixel 6a, but this visor thing is mad ugly.

Rather then launching 10+ various phones, better to launch 5 phones in a year at $100, $250, $500, $ 750 and a $1250. and to give best hardware software experience with 3 years OS updates and 5 years security update.

For the X40, such a huge device, couldn't they find some room for a 5000 battery even with "slower" charging? Other than that it seems like a nice all-rounder, let's wait for the pricing.

Don't know why GSMA compared X40 with X30 Pro.
X40 is the successor to X30 released December last year.

Moto will launch this phone in india.
Moto launched Chinese X30 with some changes & named it Edge 30 Pro for Indian Market with similar aggressive price.
So this one is probably gonna release as Edge 40 Pro in india.

Motorola has little presence in the u states currently. I believe tha the chief reason for this quality control is not properly executed. Buyers read customer reviews on carrier websites ... and US Moto handset reviews as such of late models typically describe various substandard physical defects. While I am fan of underdogs, I am not a proponent of faulty hardware. If not in the states, then hopefully in the in the row. Motorola seems to be an en vogue company there currently. Good for them.
