Only focus on this chip,with its faults,bugs etc, make it better, plus easier for them and so on.Having only in house made PROPER exynos chips,and not the half baked try what they did so far. I can see this as a good thing honestly, if they actually manage to do something in these years,and hope that not the ray tracing will be its biggest feature when it comes out.

Exynos is trash and Samsung only keeps it alive to: avoid paying the Qualcomm tax, and keep the combative labor unions in South Korea happy. That's all.
I think by this time even a Mediatek chip would be more cost effective than anything Exynos. Samsung should seriously consider Mediatek for its A-series Galaxy phones.

Real world usage, performance score should be calculated from a mixture of social media usage, banking apps usage, web browsing, video streaming, phone calls.
By taking that, the chips are actually not much different. Other than peak performance for a short period of time, there are lots of other aspects to a phone, you know. For example, why is SD870 on a 2x2 MIMO when the Exynos has been doing 4X4 since 2017? Why SD870 doesn't support wifi 6E. What about Quick Charge 5? or Bluetooth 5.2?
Oh you mean it's all missing from SD870? So you're saying that SD870 is a better chipset for the phone because it works poorly as a phone but is able to have better peak performance in specific situations that most people are unlikely to be engaged in for long?
Right, that makes sense. That is what you bought a phone for, after all.

just but kirin and continue from there, latest kirin is almost as efficient as apple cpu and was the only worthy android cpu, now android battery life sucks so much because of the cpu
