Future of VR, 15 Nov 2022To overcome the VR current tech.. 1. The processor and the headset have to be separated.. no... moreThat's insane. Not just in its own right. But for the fact just another way for them to pick up after years of other companies long hard work and charge way more for something they have put in dramatically less time and effort into.

you have to suffer, 15 Nov 2022apple fanboys be like after this product released: shut up and take my money!!! like yeah if... moreThis is just a render.. not the real product.
    1. So how did you determine it has ports or not?
    2. Even without ports, Apple watch can charge right?
    3. And Macbook Air is so slim and thin.. yet its battery life destroys laptops double or even triple its thickness.

I hope now you get it.. why "Apple fanboys" buy Apple products blindly without second thought? Because nearly every product release by Apple is well thought over.. that build trust and most people just buy.

shut up and take my money!!!
like yeah if it priced like $3000, i bet the battery life wont last long, if it had thin form factor. so, how else do you want to charge this? i see no ports..

To overcome the VR current tech..
          1. The processor and the headset have to be separated.. no one wants a heavy headset.. or the heat on the face.. plus the modularise the design.. you can keep the headset for years.. upgrading the processor only.
          2. There must be no controllers. Just like no one wants a stylus.. the controlling should be using only hand gestures.. the depth sensor must be just right.
          3. The display must be out of this world, coupled with a great front camera + LIDAR for the mixed reality effect.

          So here is my prediction.
The first release will cost a bomb..
VR headset and processor sold separately. Headset ($2500), processor M2 ($1500), M2 Max ($2500).

Now why not just tether to iPhone or Mac? Because nowadays Mac / iPhone max Wifi 6.. May not have enough bandwidth to push the headset.. I think need WIFI 6E or 7 to future proof.

The words "apple" and "stepped up effort" don't really seem to coexist in the same sentence.

The thing about VR is that is has to be genuinely immersive (no pixels visible and no Side dark borders) without throwing your senses for a loop.
I know apple can be overpriced for some things, but they are arguably consistent with their quality when done well.
This VR set may be awfully priced out for many people, but I say let’s see how they do it. It’ll be interesting…
