but can it still survive when submerged in rain conditions?
usually oddo phones are so durable in water. no matter if its submerged, its still works as long it dries.
I hope to see it in Europe, Samsung foldables are really bad.
Samsung user, 11 Nov 2022Oddo really understand well, it can't compete with samsung in durability and ip rating. S... moreI believe people are emotionally driven by the function vs. the branding. Foldables are not mainstream so I don't think having a Z vs the others is much of a bragging point.
I do think trust and brand awareness are strong factors. That is where Samsung has an advantage. They've also shown the most dedication to this form factor and foldables are expensive. For the price people want full band compatibility, software support and local hardware support. That's another advantage for Samsung.
What matters if it's available outside of China. Nobody wants to spend an extra $200-$300 importing this device with ColorOS that you can't even change the launcher.

S... moreThat's right but durability isn't all so good on the newer Samsung foldables as well. The last one that Jerry Rig tested almost broke. That's because Samsung too, like everyone else is trying to make it lighter but at the cost of build quality
If they won't sell it internationally, the design and everything is just irrelevant to us many. I dont know why they won't have proper marketing schemes on significant foreign markets...
Anonymous, 11 Nov 2022It is light but fragile tooOddo really understand well, it can't compete with samsung in durability and ip rating. So the only way is to make its foldable more lighter.
Little did Oppo know, that majority of foldable consumer dont buy foldable for its function, but rather because of the samsung brand/emotional reason (to show others that they have Samsung Z Series).
I personally prefer to buy separate S series (phone and tablet) with the same amount of money for Z Fold series.
It is light but fragile too
well... they will not release to global market. trust me
