Being a former user of Redmi Note 8 and currently Poco F3, the most noticeable upgrades on the newer Redmi Note series for me are better display, stereo speakers and charging tech.
I've been also using Samsung A52 for 1.5 years now and is disappointed (actually throughly p*ssed) the phone's back cover is starting to peel off due to poor build quality. I might get Redmi Note 12 Pro if it offer noticeable improvements over the Note 11 Pro.

While the price creep is real but the Redmi Note always been the premium redmi.
Redmi still have pretty decent Redmi [x]a series who still cheap, good for basic use with big battery. And still have line for each budget price segment
That being said, if this comes with D1080, 50mp+OIS, amoled, dual speaker, 3.5mm jack, microSD, 4000mAh+, 60W+ charging and all of that is sub$400? i'll buy it.
MIUI need to be better tough.
Poco skinned MIUI update somehow f*cks with "open with" option for 2 week.

Plus, GCam is a must for these kinds of phones. on a flagship, maybe not but for midrangers, GCam has significantly better quality than stock.
Plus, I'm still against Xiaomi due to my very awful experience with the Redmi Note 11
