Simple: DRIVE SAFELY! These technologies are no quick fixes. Even if they auto-call SOS when you are dead already, what is that to your soul anyway? DRIVE SAFELY and be ACUTE about your surroundings.
Anonymous, 03 Oct 2022Hmmmm..... Let me think.... people who have cars older made before 2019? can be installed aftermarket
Julian M, 03 Oct 2022Only if you pay your digital dashboard subscription, and those sensors are not exactly cutting... morethey are connected to abs, airbag, esp and all that stuff.this emergency call comes with the car.no cost or subscribtion required.subscription is of entertainment services only.
Anonymous, 03 Oct 2022"You're crashing it wrong!" :))Yeah, that's my worry - junkyard crash tests certainly simulate car accidents, but speed, airbags going off, abrupt deceleration, etc are all accounted for typically, so Apple's reply does nothing to reassure anyone their detection will actually work in the situation of a real car crash (the same question is valid for Google's car detection feature as well).
yalim, 03 Oct 2022what's the point of this feature? since 2020,all cars already have it onboard.Only if you pay your digital dashboard subscription, and those sensors are not exactly cutting edge either.
Also, if you're a passenger, your phone contacting emergency services can be a valuable backup, not to forget your personal contacts will be alerted (rather than the driver's only).

Anonymous, 02 Oct 2022Even Jobs is whining in disappointment at how apple handling the iPhone these daysHe wishes he could return to earth for just one day, heck, one hour to scold them at where they have landed.
Nothing affordable, nothing convenient, nothing honest.
"You're crashing it wrong!" :))
Anonymous, 02 Oct 2022Even Jobs is whining in disappointment at how apple handling the iPhone these daysJobs should be ashamed that their iPhones had more problems than Tim’s. iPhone 4S antenna gate. iPhone 6 bend gate and mute switch issue. And swelling batteries. I’m not sure about the iPads and Macs
CarPlay and Bluetooth status is counter productive. It consumes the battery faster so it might not trigger it since it's already dead battery lol
I get that the car has to be moving (fast enough) for the phone to detect that it's in a car. But think about it a little bit and I don't think many people would want this feature on. When you crash it makes an emergency call for services (ambulance / police / fire). Legally I'd say your device just admitted you're at fault for the accident. Then again, I guess the target market for iphones don't really care how much their car insurance premiums are.
SShock, 02 Oct 2022Lol, this guy whining about people’s jobs again XDEven Jobs is whining in disappointment at how apple handling the iPhone these days
ALU to Cache, 02 Oct 2022The unpaid Apple employee (bot) is in action to recover his useless time. 3rd world for youLol, this guy whining about people’s jobs again XD
SShock, 01 Oct 2022I give up. You people are either intentionally insane or you're actually that dense. Here's he started crying again after losing a debate lol
SShock, 01 Oct 2022You don't know how anything Apple works, but you just can't resist talking s**t abou... moreThe unpaid Apple employee (bot) is in action to recover his useless time. 3rd world for you
not always work ... must be triggered by certain condition ... the manufacturer must carefully trigger the sos condition so the manufacturer can not be sued ... in short, the manufacturer dictate the condition of sos, real world tragedies may not trigger the sos no matter how severe, because initiating sos can drag certain parties to court of law, no matter how severe the human condition in the event of sos ... all marketing
SShock, 02 Oct 2022Oh my god, are you really that monumentally dense? The guy was mocking iPhone users with "... moreDo you realize that you are a headcase? The way you act is really abnormal. Anyway, the thing is that the guy misunderstood that you have to confirm the call. That isn't the purpose of the feature. If you're conscious enough to be able to confirm the call, it's most likely that you can call an emergency service yourself. Instead of simply explaining the feature to him, you went on about using themes and launchers. That's nonsensical. And when I simply told you how it doesn't add up, you acted hysterically like a mad man. Really, you should get help.
