Anonymous, 04 Oct 2022We've been waiting for this watch but now very disappointed; No GPS? No memory to speak ... moreNo GPS may not be a big deal. You may not be able to use a smartwatch without a phone anyway, and your phone has a GPS that can be shared with your smartwatch. I'm sure it's workable.
LoneOwl, 04 Oct 2022Do you really compare a full fledged smartwatch with esim capabilities and app install with a ... moreNo, I don't. However, these smartwatches do a lot (much more than what you mentioned), and for most people it's enough especially when it feels affordable.
The eSIM capability is not a big deal. If I have a SIM with data in my primary phone (which I always have), I can make use of that data by creating a hotspot; and my phone, laptop, smartwatch can be supported. I have been using my 2nd phone and laptop this way for years without using a second data plan.
We've been waiting for this watch but now very disappointed; No GPS? No memory to speak of limiting functionality. Have to go with Amazfit GTS 4 I guess.
Anonymous, 03 Oct 2022And that exists where ?Garmin, Amazfit.
Maybe it's because most dont know it by its proper full form, heard of sunlight-visible MIP transflective? Same thing.
mukhi, 03 Oct 2022Unisex, period tracking, heart rate monitor, SpO2 monitor, sleep tracking. exercise tracking, ... moreDo you really compare a full fledged smartwatch with esim capabilities and app install with a glorified fitness tracker like this one?
Also yeah, as history has proven all these ''smart watches'' under 100dollars, are only good for telling the time and step count.
you have to suffer, 03 Oct 2022mem in pixels?? is it sort of like e inkThe same tech Garmin uses in most of their Smartwatch lineup. Amazfit uses it too.
These get more brighter the more falling light there is on its surface. Transflective screens get so much visibility improvement under direct intense sunlight, the screen is reflecting off the sunlight it is receiving improving its visibility. As the screen's pixels are always 'on' , you only need a backlight in the dark, behaves very much like regular digital watches that need a backlight for visibility in the dark.
Great tech especially in always-on scenarios like in a smartwatch

If it delivers, you won't ever need a $250 (or more) smartwatch unless you have money to burn or just want an Apple.
