Horrible device. Would have been better with the snapdragon 8 gen 1 plus as it doesn't overheat as bad and has extra performance but this is typical of Sony always playing catchup. Sticking 4gb extra ram and a bit more storage doesn't make this a gaming device. Any long gaming sessions will result in a big performance drop because of the heat.

Think this was their plan all along, make a phone that nearly catches fire then sell you a cooler for it, lol! It looks really horrible, the fan is too thick and it has no physical controls. The ports at the bottom are basically like any USB-C dongle.

So if you can cool it enough. If you cool Intel 11th gen it can go upto 8ghz but gen 12 will probably come with 4.5 ghz

My question is why sony did not use the snapdragon 8 gen 1 plua that had already been released before the xperia 1 5? take out with the previous soc that on top of that heating... even samsung abandoned its hot node hahaha! another that will make the same mistake is google with tensor 2 exynos abandoned by samung

oh my god, Sony... you and your prices...
To anyone who think about getting one... just get PS4 or xbox controller and mount for phone that cost about 5 bucks and you can play any mobile game even on most of mid-range smartphones. I have old poco x3 pro that can run any game and.... it doesnt throttle cpu as s8 gen1 xD
No one with brain will buy that for 1200$
