Actually t... moreSo many devices outperform Sony you can't even imagine, and it's all because of the overheating issues. I've got the Xperia 1 mk3 for a year and 4 months already and it's annoying tbh the phone starts heating to the easiest tasks, I've got a Black Shark 3 external cooler ($30) that helps a lot, otherwise the phone is indeed good but this one problem made me and probably a lot of people HATE and disappointed in Sony

Anonymous, 29 Sep 2022Phone gaming is a joke, and the only reason this accessory is even necessary is because all of... moreBrah all phones using gen8 1 are overheating, the difference is that sony does show the warnings messages others simply choosed not to show, I have Samsung S22 and it heats up like hell, you can bake an egg on it, also my iphone 13 heating with simple GPS navigation. So at least sony came up with cool idea, I guess I’m switching back to Sony when gaming edition is available 😶🌫️

Phone gaming is a joke, and the only reason this accessory is even necessary is because all of Sony's phones overheat. A shame, because they're otherwise good phones, but I won't buy one until they get rid of the overheating problem that's plagued them for years.

I do remember Sony talking about working towards more mobile games as well.
SuuperBaka, 12 Sep 2022As trash as it is, mobile gaming is actually a huge market rn.True, there's no way Asus keeps making the smartphone version of their ROG series if there's no huge market right now, especially since they just announced the Dimensity-version of the ROG Phone 6 series (6D), that's also applicable to other brands making gaming smartphone like Red Magic (Nubia), Legion (Lenovo), iQOO (Vivo), & Black Shark (Xiaomi).

Actually the only gaming phone to ever come close recommend close to the same high definition or decent resolution as the experience was the black shark 3 pro. The day that somebody puts 7 .1 inch screen of the Sony xperia
On the body of a black shark 3 pro.... Actually I don't know what will happen but I'm pretty sure the universal self employed because somebody finally made the ultimate phone. Would it have killed Sony to make the phone a little bigger. If this phone was 6.9 or 7" I'd have that preordered right now. It would finally be able to ditch Samsung.

No surprise BBK and ... moreAsus had consistently outsold all other gaming phones to the point that they run out of stock. So, no, the ROG Phone does not have poor sales.
what the other fella is trying to say is if this is gonna be a gaming centric phone, they should have added practical gaming features like should triggers or additional hardware buttons in general especially with that accessory.
I cannot imagine how else to enjoy the games I play, mostly PS2 games through emulator, w/out Air Triggers on my ROG Phone 2. it makes gaming significantly enjoyable

And ha... moreSony is targeting pro mobile gamers and streamers, this device can be used in an official tournament because no additional joysticks. and that lan port and hdmi will be handy to in tourney for lan connections an video capture.

Feels so odd to see SONY put out a gaming Xperia accessory with absolutely no connection to the PlayStation branding.

personally, feel that this could be used for awesome emulation such as playstation 2, gamecube, wii, xbox, and with dual sense ps5 controllers or ps4 dual shock, that would be awesome

AnonD-1063708, 12 Sep 2022you did nothing wrong, man. no need to apologise 🤝I also enjoy offline mobile gaming, GTA:SA is still my favorite mobile game and I also play emulators but I also admit the mobile games feel incomplete and the experience is not that great but it's just my opinion.
