TDP, 22 Jan 2023Don't forget 778G TDP is 5 Watt. But 855 TDP is 10 Watt. So 855 is more powerful Tdp is means power usage and heat generated, has nothing to do with perfomance atleast in phone, but it help in battery life, thats why sd 778G phones have better battery life because they use less power.

The Wikipedia page has all the core specs now. I think I like the new product line up even if the naming sucks. It's a lot easier to tell what you're getting. 4g1 is 2x A78 + 6x A55, 6g1 is 4x A78 + 4x A55, 7g1 is 4x A710 + 4x A510, 8g1 is 1x X2 + 3x A710 + 4x A510. None of these are really bad SoCs, but I'm expecting that the 8g1 / 8g1+ / 8g2 phones will all continue to be very expensive and battery draining.
Who knows how many more Snapdragon 695 and 778 phones will continue come out over the next 12 to 18 months. It should be easy to follow as long as they don't do any more weird things like they did with the old naming schemes. I'm also worried that with the 4g1 being so decent it will get used a lot more than it should compared to the 6g1 and 7g1.

Grey Wolf , 06 Sep 2022Probably you are referring to some older generation 800 series. Something like SD855 or SD865.... moreWell, d8100 is for mid-range and it beats 8 gen 1 and in some games that are cpu based and also in geekbench.

Also dont forget 778G achieve that with insane low clock, like gpu is just 490Mhz, hence it can sustain that perfomance in real life, while 855 will throttle a bit,

-sd 680 is used in lot of phones for now its better soc under $150
-Dimensity 700 has outsell sd 480 and probably most used soc in $150 to $200 price point,
-sd 695 outsell Dimensity 800 series you can rarely see D810, 695 is better soc in $200 to $250 range.
With sd 695 available as cheap as $200 and have same cpu cluster as 4G1 and manufactured in same node of 6nm we can expect sd 4G1 to be available in $150 to $200 range.
