Sub-$200 Samsung often only gets 2 years of major Android upgrades and 3 years of security patches update (or less? Idk, but as far as I remember that was what A0x, A1x, and A2x series received). Sub-$200 Xiaomi with 3 years of Android updates? Well good luck with that. They might provide 3 MIUI version update but NOT 3 Android version update, since they are two different things. (except the Xiaomi 12 Flagship Lines, but that's no longer sub-$200 phones).

As for the 4K video recording, the SoC is not capable of doing it, so it's not HMD Nokia's fault. 120Hz would be nice since the USA-exclusive G400 has it.

Looks way bettter than most midrangers from other brands also got more updates which is nice but its not that important.
Many people especialy those with 50+ age doesnt care about updating.

I mean if pixel is cheapper, why care about this device and it's price? I mean i am annoyed by apple, because well, they make the prices now, and we all have to agree, that they never brought something good in the tech world but high prices, but hmd at this stage? They can't influence nothing but sell or not sell.... just saying. I actually find it okay that such a small company can afford to sell devices at almost the same price as the greedy behemoth google does....Hard to understand marketing right?

Battery health is one of the biggest problems with smartphones it's sad slowly die from batteries getting too a point there not very usable anymore
I really stressing the importance of removable battery's and good easy too repair ratings on smartphones lately
A power bank for extending battery Life might be worth considering in the meantime before you make up your mind and choice a new phone
It's possible new opinions will come just they be mid range phones
Yeah new software is a nice too have
It's Probably more a luxury people want then need
The no os update was probably a good choice by hmd global with hindsight
It's doubtful the camera would of worked on Android 11 at all or be reduced state
The European companies are often more environmentally friendly and are making reliable phones
Chinese companies are not the best
The crap they fill there phones with and cheap labour
Nokia & fairphone are good in this way
But neither is a angel
The not putting a changer in the box is just double fuel because 2 box's 2 journeys
It's hurting the customers who are struggling with cost of living and just passing the problem onto some else when but there heads clean
The fairphone ear buds another e-waste product without way too change the battery in them and removed headphone jack excuses by fairphone are poor
All brands have fans and haters and have good and bad in them for different reasons
Most people value for money
A lot Chinese brands are winning at this for some reason European companies are not reading the market
In the end of the day people are paying for the chipset they want and the phone it is in at the lowest price
It turns out the hmd global owns the license too the Alcatel brand also
And the best budget phone opinion in the UK are either Alcatel or Nokia
So Nokia doing well just there making affordable phone for budget customers and focus on the budget market
