Be it any underscreen scanner, they all are pathetic and un-ergnomic. Side mounted and rear fingerprint scanners are more ergonomic and fault proof as compared to under screen camera based scanners.

Anonymous, 23 Aug 2022You don't need to use tempered glass screen protector. The liquid film screen protectors ... moreAll the liquid protectors are questionable at best. Literally all of the tests I've seen showcased they do nothing at best from what I've seen. Besides, everyone tests them with razorblade on glass that doesn't get damaged by it anyway, so what are they even proving?

The liquid film screen protectors do just fine, have more clarity, and allow in-screen fingerprint reader and camera without any holes.

Where is the legendary Iris scanner, that thing still unlocks my phone in less than half of second, working through scratches, screen protector, wearing thick sunglasses. Now you need to have a glass screen protector with a HOLE in the screen to use the FP. What a meme, and it's been like this for some years now.

Now give the phone decent charging speeds for 2022 standards and I'll buy one.

Anonymous, 20 Aug 2022Vivo gets credits for using something 1 year adter Sharp? Both Vivo and Sharp use Qualcomm's ultrasonic FPS, but the ones on Vivo phones are newer-generation hence more advanced (4 times larger area).

Replace A's with @ and S with $, O with 0s etc. And you get a dang hard password

I started having passwords like that more than a decade ago, I change passwords a lot but I don't think I ever lost any account because I forgot a password.

Also I started relying on password managers after 2015.

Note7 owner, 20 Aug 2022Prefer Apple’s Face ID to any of these FP scanners. It’s 2022 and Android is still working on FP. I also prefer FaceID since masks are no longer commonly used in my country. Sometimes fingers can get dirty or dry (after washing with soap) so it doesn’t always work based on experience. I occassionally wear gloves as well so no way FP sensors will work

But you're forced to take lesser specs because they just don't make not small sized phone, but regular sized phone. 6" or 6,1" is just normal sized phone now.
