I’ve done the Windows PC, Pixel, and Fossil smartwatch. I’ve done the Samsung Notes, etc....I’ve done it all. Nothing compares to the simplicity and practicality of iPhone, iPad, Apple Watch and MacBook. But let them complain. I feel sorry for them......I wish Apple products were cheaper so Everyone could afford them.....including schools......those Chromebook's are awful. Lol

all it needs is that updated chip and it's good to go. it has a good place in a school environment so + points for a NON-laminated display(cost) and for it to retain the 3.5mm jack.🤞would be nice to seem them bite the bullet and have 128gb as the base storage(maybe if it's a Cellular model exclusive though).

Nobody cares of 4-5 years of OS updates if your hardware gets old in 2 years unable to run any new app.
Forget about Genshin Ipact, Fornite and many else high quality games.
Prison OS have nothing to impress.
Android device is compatible with literary everything.
Apple device just doesnt work on its own.

potato4k, 05 Aug 2022I'm guessing it will be $399 for base 32GB wifi only.The last iPad classic already had minimum 64Gb storage. So, unless they are going backwards, they will have minimum 64Gb storage. Or even 128Gb, if they want to surprise everybody. But, I doubt it.

Their current low end iPad is $329. The price for the new one will very likely be $399 if they end up using an A15, a flat-side design and likely other minor improvements.

One thing that doesn't make sense is that there is the power button on the top which looks like the ones that have Touch ID built into them, but then there is also the home button which has had Touch ID since forever now. 2 Touch IDs in 1 tablet??

And imo, it's better than Android tablets in that price range. Maybe the Mi Pad 5 could compete, but I wouldn't risk 300 + $/€ and don't get nearly as nice support as Apple gives to its devices tbh (I got the Mi Pad 2 and I don't remember it getting any updates at all even to fix the bugs that it had since launch)

Flat sided iPad with Home button? Why just don't they follow the design of iPad air? Or just stay with the current design? This is ugly.

b) I don’t think they will give up the 329$ price point which was the main selling point of it.
