The purchaser gets to review a lot of non-public information during due diligence, and if anything major is not disclosed the seller can later be sued, and there is also the possibility for criminal charges if they hid it. Musk is not making the decisions himself, but with the advice of an army of bankers and lawyers, who also cost a lot.

This is common knowledge. Only after the payments are made that you cannot terminate them. Not everything you write in a contract is legally enforceable. You can have a sale contract saying that a specific buyer will buy your product on a specific date. However, if the buyer changes his mind, he can cancel the contract, and you can't do anything about it.

There is no way he did not know about the bot problem from beforehand, as much as there was no way he did not know of how bitcoin is created (thru mining) before announcing that he would accept it.

Guy pumps and dumps and plays you like a fiddle. He feels that his ... Martian goals, are worthwhile of scammy means (the scams he runs day and night, say the $400 per share privatization of Tesla, or the Bitcoin scam he ran, or -lately- the Twitter scam which allowed him to go on a selling spree without affecting Teslas stock price as much)

Guy is a classic con artist with high Falutin goals as a cover. And by cover I mean n *actual* cover, I do think that he cares more about his Martian dream than merely being the richest ever... and in the end if he achieves it we would prolly forgive his jackassery, if not ... well, let's just say that history won't be too kind of him. Scam artist is written all over his face, lol...

The whole episode has helped elon to expose and call out the biased board of directors and its censor department. Even if elon had purchased twitter, these people would use that money to make another social media platform to run their agenda. A very important point has been made. Tesla and space X is already a lot to manage, to manage something like Twitter is too much of a burden.

RealLifePhones, 10 Jul 2022because people like and want it 🤷‍♂️They don't want to end up like Tumblr. It was once valued at $1.1B and has dropped to as low as $3M. OF saw the writing on the wall too when they got strong reactions and reversed their new policy before it even implemented. IDK if you remember Vine but they also disappeared off the face of the earth when they removed NSFW content. NSFW isn't required to be successful, but these companies can't use it to grow their user base and not expect a backlash when they remove it.
