Daniell, 18 May 2024Is it still worth it to buy it in 2024? Cause i don't have the budget to buy the fit 3The Quantified Scientist YouTube channel uploaded a video yesterday reviewing the Watch Fit 3, and it seems to be a bit worse than the Fit 2 in health and sport readings and tracking. The Fit 3 has the advantage of the design, but that's it. I think I will get the Fit 2 since it's much cheaper in AliExpress.

Guys, you forgot one of its device's crucial features, 32 GB internal memory for music. For me, going for a walk listening to music without carrying the smartphone is a huge advantage.

- way way more accurate heartrate than a 2019 GTS which is borderline useless for exercise
- much better gps
- much more advanced running metrics and plans
- far more useful workout plans
- better sleep tracking
- turn by turn directions on the watch
- 6 times more audio storage
- downloadable apps
- speaker and microphone for calls on watch
and far more - it's not remotely comparable

Hendrixvirus, 18 Jul 2022Come on GSMArena, giving a review about the 2nd gen of a device without mentioning what it got... moreExactly. This is not a proper review, looks like a preview with some shallow info. Loads of info is missing. Comparison with the previous version would be great. Anyway. I recently bought my first smartwatch - Amazfit GTS, which came out in 2019 and it still holds up with the newest ones and I love it! I got it second hand for $35, looks like brand new. It even has a barometer and GPS, which is amazing for that price. The new versions of smartwatches are pretty similar to the previous generations, most of the functions are the same. The biggest difference are the new sensors, usually heart-rate sensor / PPG bio-tracker chip comes with more precise measurements. But they also have negatives like the shorter battery life due to the new functions, bigger display etc. If you look at the Amazfit GTS, it can run with all the sensors on and even 90 minutes of GPS tracking in a week, the battery lasts for 14 days. Without these functions when you use it only as a simple watch it can run for 46 days. I believe for most people the older generations of smartwatches are far more reasonable than the new ones with only some minor tweaks.

Helidave, 19 Jul 2022I hope that the overheating problem has been fixed that I experience with the mark1. More than... moreJust tortured a Band 6 and a Band7 mounted in direct perpendicular sunlight for 15 minutes, to a surface temperature above 50ºC. The Band 7 shut down, the Band 6 continued to operate.
(The Band 7 started normally pressing the power button - no charger needed)
I hope that the overheating problem has been fixed that I experience with the mark1. More than 5 minutes in the sun and it stops working. It must then be attached to the charger to restart it.
Scandidave, 18 Jul 2022The bezels are very small !I guess we got so used to 'edge' type displays, that 4mm seems large.
But it's all a matter of perspective. In absolute values the bezels are OK, but when seen relative, they inevitably seem 'huge', as the 2x4mm is almost a third if the 25.4mm wide display.
There is a good reason why almost all the watch-faces offered goes black or very dark at the edges, so it blends nicely into the bezels.
Looking at the images in the article, only the clock images with light background looks ugly.
On the other images with black background, you do not even think about the side bezels. e.g.

Anonymous, 18 Jul 2022I see your point. Can you switch off the Band 7? An issue I have with most bands, and similarl... moreYes, you can do a "Power Off" for both Band 7 and 6 (as well as earlier variants and Honor variants). And I think you can on all fit/watch variants of Huawei/Honor too.
(Like practically all phones & phablet it obviously isn't a true disconnection of the battery, but it is some ultra-light mode only checking the button, for revival by a long press.)
And for those planning to use the silicone rubber band of the Band 6/7, there would be practically zero reason to go for the Band 7, unless you got very thin arms, or want an always on watch face, roughly halving the battery stamina
