I want 4.3" display with S IV configuration with edge to edge display. I think Motorola will provide that.

Bad news for galaxy S III users. It's time for their devices to get old and receive no further supports and upgrades from Samsung.

Samsung policy: Let's make it bigger
Apple policy: Let's make it better

Fandroids: Wooaaa, bigger numbers means it's better, right? Apple sucks, apple rips you off.
Fan Boys: Whatever, we don't care!

I would rather a 720p non Pentile than a pentile one. but it would look bad on the spec sheet considering that all flagships have now fHD displays and it would have lover density than S3.

People have only started adopting s3 and s4 is releasing already... I think samsung is overwhelmingly faster than it shud be.. This new strategy will bring them down in the near future.. I think samsung could have relaxed till year end and cashed on its current flagship of devices. This new introduction will leave S4 as a very premium of the current devices and gradually it will be lost in the crowd. I have seen people getting confused to choose between s2 n s3, note 1 n note 2 and finally getting fed up and looking at other mobiles like htc, etc. Rather than expanding a customer base, this might have an adverse effect and people may start to shift their preferences...

My N9 has a Pentile too, I don't care about it. Even at 440 ppi it's not visible, so it wouldn't make a difference really.

samsung should admit that the PPI count is just for marketing. many of us know that the current ppi count for the S3 display is controversial. many say it is not actually 310+- because of the way the OLED pixels are arranged. it is actually significantly lower.

apparently, they just want to raise the ppi count to at least compete "in advertising terms" since they excel at introducing monstrous specs. they don't want to lose the crown of being the trailblazer when it comes to monstrous specs.

AnonD-86903, 06 Feb 2013pentile again??Samsung said they use PenTile to improve the battery life. But if you're seriously minding it being PenTile AT 440 density - you're either some sort of a fanboy or an idiot.

Honestly, seriously, with the 400+ dpi, are some of you still bothered it being Pentile? Man, we are really spoiled.
