i have to wait for 7 days to unlock it fully.

The Snapdragon 778G+ is actually as fast as the 855 that was a flagship SoC in 2019. I believe the 855 is only slightly better in gaming.
I'm using a Snapdragon 765G on my Razr 5G and it annoyed me that it wasn't as fast as my 888 on my Flip 3. But as of late, it's actually plenty fast if it doesn't overheat as it will throttle which then slows down. So far, it rarely lags unless I'm using it in very hot weather. Clearing storage also helps speed it up.
If you're not into retro gaming emulation especially GameCube and PS2 levels, then 778G+ should be more than enough power for everyday use. That's still way more than enough for Dreamcast and PSP emulation that my Essential Phone and Pixel 3 do flawlessly.
I understand it getting only the 778G+ to keep the cost and heat down. If this was initially priced at $299, it would be intriguing enough. Can't wait for Version 2 with an improved light show at the back. This Version 1 still feels beta like the first Z Fold.

Anonymous, 01 Jul 2022All that "no more innovation" talk for just a Snapdragon 778G+. HahahahaBest not to underestimate 778G+, though. It can be more efficient and just as powerful without the price asked by the likes of 870(which is an overclock of an already overclocked 865, so much for efficiency).

If they can match the pixel camera with this phone, this will run out of stock sooner that they think... if they are bad as Oneplus, this is going to be another disaster...

Kekw offering phone above 400€ with 778G+, good luck, now is hype in europe for dimensity 8100 and no one from manufacturers want to offer it in midrange price point 250-400€, so ppl buy samsung s20fe for aroud 370€ or a52s for 100€ less, and what chinise mfc offer in this price range? snapdr695 in samsung a52s price range or 778 in samsung s20fe price range where samsung are offering much better snapdr 865 in s20 fe.
Why anyone would buy chinise phone? when could have at the same price range samsung with 4 years support, better hardware, water resistant case and aluminium frame. Realme had great offer

If what you said is true then why S22/22+ look better than S22 Ultra? Same with Find X5 Pro, X80 Pro, Xiaomi 12 Pro/11 Ultra, Pixel 6/6 Pro. All of those don't look eye pleasing because the bezels aren't uniform. Only Pixel 5 and Nothing Phone achieve this.

In fact, the midrange SD chips extend this by having unusually low clock speeds on all of its cores, even the prime core. And, the best bit is that this will be a TSMC made chip, which guarantees that it will never overheat.
I bet that Nothing wanted the 8 Gen 1+, but that would have been way too expensive for the gains. And buying SD888s would have been a no-go too, owing to how hot the chip runs.
