idk what the CEO of bbk is thinking but he should have not let Oppo touch Oneplus in the first place.

An example would be PIXAR and Disney. Their films are becoming MORE and MORE like generic Disney films and no longer have the PIXAR touch to them.
In this case for OnePlus, it's no longer what it set out to be. While ofc they're gonna make more money, it's who they leave behind and what they have to give up.
And the worst part? The unique things about OnePlus are being taken away from them. The Alert Slider will make its way to more OPPO phones, and will only be available on the OP11Pro next year.
How messed up is that? If everyone didn't have the Alert Slider, it would still be OK. BUT, OPPO is TAKING IT AWAY for themselves.
TLDR; Enthusiast Brands either Die the Hero, or Live Long enough to become the Villan
Never Settle.
I wonder why these TV brands never mention the brightness level on their specs sheets. Isn’t that an important specification to know when buying a TV?!

The problem Oneplus has had from the start is software, first Cyanogenmod where support was dropped, then Oxygen which was actually really good and how they're just bundling the same software as Realme/OPPO ColorOS, they've basically given up on their original fan base. This doesn't mean the phones are bad, just not as original.
Likely the same could be said about the TV, then again if they're bringing premium features at an affordable price, people will still buy them.
you have to suffer, 26 Jun 2022just like realme, they made a lot of things. i hope this oneplus tv will have more feature tha... moreAny TV (Android, Smart, Dumb) will have better features when you just connect a tv box with the latest Android tv os. Xiaomi still ships an Android 9 tv in 2022 lmao.

Go check the 4ktv subreddit on reddit.com and see how that place looks down on other people that do not buy the ones on the NA/EU recommended list.

Low quality parts, panels that start to die out in around 1.5 years, HORRIBLE calibration, non-existent customer support, warranty nightmares. These are the experiences that you will face when purchasing any BBK (1+, Realme, or nearly all other pure chinese brands) TVs in India.
Don't get suckered in by the "low" price and fancy on sheet specs. A little down the line and your regret will give you heartburns.

I remember when OnePlus made one phone a year. Now they make friggin TVs. They really couldn‘t be any further from what they stood for at release of the OnePlus One.
